    Anyone getting this?

Seems to be out in March and looks like it could be pretty good and they’ve got the career mode back. Hopefully Trial Mountain is still about.

    Once I get a PS5 I'll be on it.

Proper career mode this time? Like it use to be.

Yeah well that’s what I’ve read - old style career mode with having to get your licences and then build up your collection of cars. Although they aren’t calling it career mode anymore and is going to be called GT World.

Reading this thread has given me flashbacks of trying to earn my licenses on the original Gran Turismo game - classic.

It looks good, I might get this one.

Anyone use a steering wheel with this console?

Yeah, the end of the A Licence with that track with two hairpins used to drive me mad on the original. That's the best format I've played in a racing game, as much as I love Forza.

Can't believe they're only now on to the seventh GT entry. Haven't had a PS since PS2, and I think the last GT I had was GT4, years and years ago. But better than any amount of game series which see needless annual releases with minimal effort and very little improvement.

    Oh man!!

That last License was a pain but use to love seeing the shadow of the previous car lap so you knew how you were going to go.

    Has anyone got this yet?

I presume it’s now the normal price of a next-gen game but £65 is a lot!!

I’ve got it but haven’t really had much time to play it properly. It’s pretty good though but the menu book method of unlocking all the features takes a while. Also the licences are already getting on my nerves lol

Looks good but €70 for a game and then it still having micro transactions doesn't sit right with me. I hear you can just straight up pay to progress to which surely defeats the point of a Gran Turismo game?

All irrelevant though since I still can't get hold of a PS5 . .

It’s available on ps4 as well. But yeah you can pay to progress via credits, but you’re right it completely defeats the essence of this game.

One other annoying thing that bugs me is they’ve taken away the ability to sell cars so you’re either forced to grind out repetitive wins or pay for credits.

So it’s a deliberate ploy to get people to pay, but as long as you happy with the slow progression it seems a good game so far.

I was looking forward to getting this until I heard you cannot sell cars! I used to like doing cars up and then selling them in the original so probably won't bother with this now!

Is this a game you can play casually is or is it like most others now where it's all or nothing?

You can definitely play it casually although you need to invest a bit of time initially to unlock all the features -after that you're golden. I just play a couple of sport mode races a week online now although some of the lobbies are full of wankers.

@Sme you can't sell cars yet, but apparently its in development for an upgrade.

Also, there's a cheap trick to grind credits quick time by purchasing a Dodge Tomahawk and tuning it specifically so it wins a high credit race in less than 20 mins. If anyone wants the tune I can share it.

I play casually. Do just enough races to get the daily lottery ticket so I can be given the lowest prize each time.

After 30+ tickets I have won 1 car, 1 car part and 1 mid-level cash. Rest have been lowest.
