Is well into development and details of the game have been released. Apparently it's going to be set in a fictional Miami So original for a game they have had 50 years to think about. The good news is they will apparently be adding cities in updates in time, which sounds encouraging. GTA 6 is officially confirmed by Rockstar Games, but when will it be released?
Hopefully it's this year but the demand in tech will likely be next year. I didn't play the last GTA as wasn't keen on the character storyline but some told me it was still decent. Might give a shot. I like the idea of it being Modern, brand new game and new settings rather than using previous versions.
It was always going to be one of their 3 cities. However, people will not like it being moden day, as I think Vice City was by far the most popular setting of any GTA.
I only recently played the story mode of GTA V (it was my son's game, so thought I'd have a go), I got quite hooked on it to be honest, the first time I've been hooked on a game for some time. I also played a lot of the old GTA Vice City on the PS2 at the turn of the year, so if they do set 6 in Vice City - even if it's modern day - I think I'll be very interested in getting it
I do think having a new City is decent because you have to have fresh feel and game. It's taking short cuts so keeping things up to date and with the times is what is required.
I loved the GTAV storyline, just re-started it the other day actually. Online is just toxic though. I hope they're not lazy with 6. The time it has taken I want to feel like i'm a character where 90% of the shops aren't shut!

I hope for the online portion of the game you can opt into not playing crossplay (to reduce the chance of hackers) and thst they bring cops n crooks back, or something similar. The survive the hunt game on FailRace's youtube channel would be great as an official mode also.
I have high expectations for this game. They've had years and years to get it right and they've now shelved the development of other games to solely focus on GTA6.
Last GTA I played was San Andreas so I’ve missed a lot, but may give this a try. Don’t have much time these days to play long story games though. Is this going to be moreover a collection of missions as opposed to long story like San Andreas days?
GTAV came out in 2013. The world has changed so much in nearly 10 years, will be interesting to see the social commentary on display in this next installment.
They'll likely take the piss out of everything. There'll be a commentary on populism and capitalism raping the planet. Characters based around Trump and Musk, no doubt. But seeing as it's set in Miami, it'll almost certainly bring up communism due to the Cuban diaspora. They'll poke fun out of sexism as they have a female lead character, but also wokeness. Tech giants and phone addiction.

The leaks are confirmed now. Looks like an early build. Biggest issues now is whether the hacker has the source code. Hopefully it doesn't delay devlopment.
Watched a few of the vids before they were taken down, nothing to get too excited about from what I could see, even taking into account it's early dev from 2-3 years back. I always thought GTA as a series was decent but massively overrated. Take Two are a bunch of greedy f**kers too with their incessant pushing of a 10 year old game rather than giving players what they really want and concentrating on the next release in the series. The icing on the cake for me was the charging of additional money to even those who had bought GT5 for a few next gen features like 60fps on the Series X and PS5. A disgrace when most other developers do this for nothing but a good summing up of Rockstar and Take Two.
