Voting and deadlines Vote like this: Vote: Guyett ON A SEPERATE LINE SO I SEE IT You may vote whenever you want (I would advise against lynching someone for a laugh right away as it'll likely f*ck you over pretty quickly) A lynch will happen when a majority of people are voting for one person. Each day will last a MAXIMUM of 3 real life days. If there is no majority on one person then there will be no lynch. Once 9 people are left the days will shorten to 2 days. Each night will last a maximum of 12 hours (exceptions will be made if the end of the night is at a stupid hour). During this time the night actions must be submitted. If all actions are in the night will end and I will announce if people died. Factions do not have to kill if they don't want to. Factions have day chat. No. 1 rule in the game is don't be a dick. You may not like someone but leave that outside of the game please. Do not post any communication between you and the mod. Do not communicate with anyone outside of the unless you are allowed and then only by using the chat rooms provided. Also I'm only human and may make mistakes, pm me if I do and I'll resolve it as best as I can.
This is a Greater Idea Mafia game Once the go-ahead is given, the cards numbered 1-139 (as listed on the 11th of November, 2014 revision of the Greater Idea Mafia page) are shuffled, and twoare given to each player. Each card represents an alignment and role. You will receive a PM informing you of the two cards you have been dealt. Once the PM's go out, you will have 24 hours to decide keep one card to represent your alignment and role. The second card, if the game's setup is valid, will be publicly discarded. The game will be considered valid if a majority of alignments selected are town, and at least one alignment selected is permanently anti-town. If an invalid setup is created, we will try again, starting with a new shuffle and deal. Possibly Confusing Setup-Specific Things: Spoiler If only one Mason or Lover is chosen, then they are essentially a named Vanilla Townie. If more than 2 Masons or Lovers are chosen, then all the Masons form one Mason group, and all the Lovers form one Lover group (rather than separate pairs). The Nymphomaniac, however, creates a separate Lover group when it uses its action on Night 1. It is not part of any pre-existing Lover groups at gamestart. It is possible to unite the two groups if the Nymphomaniac targets an existing Lover, however. The One-Shot PGO is activated on the first night during which someone targets it. Any and all players who target it in that one night die. On the forum, it is strongly advised to only run setups that start with at least 50% Town roles. This should also be advertised to the players. Broken setups are no fun. On scumchat or Skype or a Marathon Day, go crazy. Crazy setups ARE fun. The Alien faction has only a one-shot factional nightkill for the whole game. The faction was designed to appear rarely but have powerful role actions. The Innocent Child can choose to reveal itself at whatever moment it chooses. It is not revealed automatically at the start of Day 1. The Enabler affects one randomly mod-selected other player. If the Enabler dies, its Enablee can no longer use any role powers other than a factional nightkill. The One-shot Cult Recruiter cannot recruit scum who could potentially be in a group faction (i.e. Mafia, Werewolves, Aliens). Independent scum (SK, Survivor, etc) can be cult recruited. Any player, however, can be Culted by targeting the Black Goo. The Replicant faction was originally designed to be an alternative to the Alien faction, with one of the two factions used at random by shuffling the face-to-face cards. If playing without a mod on Skype or in chat, this is not feasible; you may choose whether or not to include the Replicants as well as the Aliens, or to mutually agree with the players to use one instead of the other. Unlike the Aliens, however, Replicants are not limited to a single nightkill for the whole game. (In practice, face-to-face players ended up just using both)

We need something to talk about - any thoughts on the initial discards? Yes, yes, most of it is WIFOM, but sometimes it reflects someone's midset (i.e in the past we've seem scum discard useful town doctor/invetsigative powers): Moderate Suspicion Stillhurts31 Serial Killer (Immune to Mafia kills) Everybody would give their left testicle to be a SK so raises immediate attention to Stillhurts31. Mild Suspicion Borobob Vanilla Townie I like being a VT. Did borobob want to be A) town or B) a PR? Sgt. Serious Mason A mason card is shite in this set-up. But a town card is a town card. Scunnymadandy Tentacled Townie Shite role. But town is town. Meh Suspicion Andy-gers1 One-shot Gladiator I find that role anti-town in nature so not gonna give Andy too much grief over it. A town card is a card town though. Andy does prefer to be town... The Doc Lyncher (target to the right; or on forum: target below in playerlist; or on skype/chat: target chosen randomly from all other players) Quite an interesting role - third party scum... maybe he landed a more tasty role? Ollie Mafia Fruit Vendor Discards a shit scum card. WIFOM says he has an even better scum card... but I'm not going there. Minty Werewolf Discards scum. WIFOM says he's mafia... but I'm not going there.
I don't mind being VT every now and again. It certainly gives you options. You can go in all guns blazing knowing you are a minimal loss if you eat the NK. Also going in completely blind can make the game quite challenging in a good way - going on little but reads and instinct. The real boring games are the ones where you at VT and the game isn't active enough to provide you with anything to work with. I will also join the line, curious as to why SH chose to disgard such a role.
"I prefer smaller games" Didn't mind that we started with only 9 players. Harder to hide in those games - that said, it's been a quiet start lol (football + weekend?) My multiple votes were an attempt to express my immediate suspicion based purely on discards. (Somewhere to start with no other content)
Morning lads, sorry went out last night. In pretty much 5 of the last 6 or 7 games I've been scum, much prefer playing as town. Really didn't fancy playing as third party as its just far too intense.
Will happily admit in the past I've sometimes chosen my alignment (when I can) based on what I have been in recent games. However, I will also say SK doesn't come around often (I actually got twice in a row for Greatest Idea, both re rolled d'oh) I've only had the role once - so think I'd jump at the chance if it was on offer. Also have to take into account what the alternative is, even if it's the alignment you want, if it's a dull or even powerless role, you'd have second thoughts.
We have only ever had a serial killer win a game once (wp doc ). I'd rather win a game than go down in a blaze of glory.
