I asked the question because as you say it's my first game of Greatest mafia. I was happy with Sgt Serious' response and left it at that. I wasn't sure if there'd be similar roles both town aligned. In a normal game we probably wouldn't have but that's been cleared up.

Deck hasn't been confirmed has it? If I was going to fake claim why pick one that could be any alignment rather than choose a town-only role? Can only assume Guyett has amended a few things and taken some roles out from the list and added others in.
Deck is always from the list of 146 on the Mafia scum wiki. It’s like playing black Jack in a Casino with a standard set of playing cards and claiming you’ve got the 8 of Diamonds and a Thomas the Tank Engine Top Trump.
The confirmed deck for these games has been posted, the role that you chose isn't in the deck for this game. If Guyett has amended the list and removed a few cards, and replacing them with others, isn't within the game procedure, and if he has, it surely has to be announced that this is the case.
Informant isn't there. Plus some previous games he's played has had an informant. So it seems like he's thought of that as a fake alignment claim without actually checking its a possible role in this game.
