    David tactics:
My strategy for the squad is to play to my squads strengths while balancing out our weaknesses and taking a balanced overall approach.

Defensively, I’m playing off a high from both Bremer and Carlos and a breakout year in the Bundesliga from Gvardiol. Gvardiol is a good LCB and is talented on the ball and is a generally good passer. Bremer is more of a typical no nonsense center back and is strong in the air and clearing balls out from defense. I’d look to him for set pieces and being my scrappier defender. He won Serie A defender of the year and saved a mediocre Torino team keeping them more mid table. Diego Carlos is probably my most balanced defender and senior defender of the group. He’s been overlooked against Kounde but has been a consistent defender for a good Sevilla team and is a good keeper for set pieces and is a decent on ball player. My big man between the posts organizes the defense and will take the captains armband.

My width will come primarily from my wingbacks. While Carjaval is not as much of a wing back, he’s good at distributing the ball and is a nice technical player. Theo Hernandez is tremendous at getting forward, moving the ball, and I’d look at him to create space and act as much as a wide midfielder and winger where he did quite well for Milan with 5 goals and 6 assists in Serie A

I’m not looking to over complicate things in central midfield. If you look at the best sides in the Prem the pst decade and the teams that have won the league, they all have a good defensive midfielder. Soucek to me is one of the most underrated midfielders in the world and is going to be my defensive mid. He’ll make tackles, make challenges, win and block balls and doesn’t need to make a lot of passes given the players around him and the generally good passers in defense. Gundogan I’m looking to play a fluid game relying on Soucek and my three men in the back to get forward occasionally but really being a guy that can but in a nice forward through ball or score an occasional goal given the oppositions focus on the guys up front.

Messi obviously had a down year by his standards but I’m not looking for him to be a 35 goal scorer in this side. He doesn’t need to be exposed out wide or put a shift in defensively. His prescence draws defenders attention off Son and Martinez and here he can make a dribble, hold the ball, and get Son and Martinez into scoring plays. He’s still a player that if you don’t focus on will obviously burn your. I like my partnership of Son and Martinez for their ability to play off each other and be good teammates. Both are great scorers and good finishers. I like that Son can grab 25 goals being the other guy to Harry Kane and think he can hold the ball, get out wide as needed and score. Martinez scored 21 Serie A goals last year as the main guy but has always done wel in partnerships. While Lukaku and Son are clearly different, I think Martinez would do very well upfront here, is a good finisher and has a decent work rate
