Not often happy with a defeat but i am delighted with that score. Playing a team 30 unbeaten with 11 consecutive wins.

Last 16 here we come. Happy days.

The Welsh through on a technicality. The sweetest victory.

Grats to the Welsh lads fought well even if the Italians didn't really put the pressure on knowing they had the group won. Glad the Swiss should be through too Shaq doing the business Turkey had a shocker of a tournament though.

Hard going today but mission accomplished. Italy quality again.

Hopefully a rest and back to Kieffer up-top for the next game and we’ll have a decent chance to progress further, particularly if as seems likely we avoid Belgium.

Well done Wales. Red was fair though. Accidental but nevertheless a dangerous tackle that can break bones in the ankle and top of the foot.

It was not an accidental studding for the red card. It was totaly deliberate and very nasty. He did it right in front of the Referee too.

Had to really dig in there, thought we did well in the circumstances.

Thought Ben Davies would have made things more comfortable, and maybe lowered my heart rate a bit but we got through in the end which is all that matters.

Italy are very good, with Verratti to potentially come in to their side now for the last 16 they can definitely go all the way.

Hoping Russia can get something tomorrow, that's a game we'd possibly be favourites in.

Need to go to a back four for that one, and the same team that beat Turkey.

A back four is absolutely crucial. It's sheer cheek from Page to think he can master a back 3 after a couple of training sessions, when it's something Europe's top managers have all tried and failed at implementing.

    Onwards and upwards though.

If if if we get in to the last 8 then we will probably play the Dutch. Yikes.

Yeh, you’d probably be expecting to bump into somebody decent at that stage. If we get there we can hopefully find a performance similar to Belgium in 2016. But one game at a time as they say.

Yeah, that's fine by me though. I don't mind us coming up against a top side, and there's no shame in going out to someone like the Dutch in the quarter finals.

Would have just incredibly frustrated me if we'd have played someone like Belgium or France when it was completely unnecessary to do so, and if we could have avoiding doing so by playing our first teamers.

Bale is really struggling for goals now. Is it 12 without his name on the score sheet. Wonder if he will retire after the tournament or will he try one more World Cup.

The world cups only a year away and isn’t his final year at Real? Makes sense to finish up after that.

He definitely won't retire after this tournament. The World Cup's in 18 months, and he's got a year left on his Real Madrid contract worth £30 million a year before tax.

Sure he did miss a great chance, but he still has 6 assists in his last 8 starts for Wales. Today wasn't his day, but we weren't particularly set up to attack against a stronger side which doesn't suit his game at all. The last 16 will be a competitive game, where he can make the difference.

He could, and probably should, have got four assists against Turkey and it might have been five if you include a penalty won, should Ramsey have scored it. He's got so much to offer for us yet, and clearly loves playing for us. I could see him going as far as 2024 with us.

Bale got a decent return in the PL this season given his playing time. Judging by the penalty and this missed chance today the lack of goals for Wales is perhaps weighing on his mind a little and he’s just snatching a bit. Sometimes happens, just needs to scuff one in now from 3 yards and then I’m sure the goals will come again.

It's likely gonna be Wales vs Denmark next round which should be a fun game with both Leicester goalies. :)
