That Swiss team is actually quite good on paper interested to see how they put it all together on the pitch.
I don't think they are ever as good as their rankings...they play San Marino and Faroe Islands every other week...anyway COME ON WALES.
They're notorious for "gaming" the FIFA rankings to get higher seeded and easier qualifying groups. They arrange all their friendlies solely on which will give them the best ranking, often even not arranging games on international fixture weeks if it will give them a better ranking. Fair play to them though, it's not a bad way to do it.
Probably not been able to travel due to the restrictions? Not much of a crowd generally. Think it’s showing too on the pitch. Pretty flat and slow .
Actually Wales are just looking to hit on the counter. Switzerland look much better. Still haven't created alot though
I'm joking , they said 500 on the commentary doesn't look that much . Not a great 1st half , things can only get better
Swiss look well on top could be ahead if Seferovic was a bit more composed, Wales best hope is Dan James getting into space I feel.
Well, luckily for Wales the Swiss can't hit a barn door with a banjo. If they could finish it might be out of sight by now, but Wales still in as long as the Swiss don't have their shooting boots on.
Very poor first half, Switzerland probably edged it and Seferovic should have scored. Wales looking distinctly average, with all but Dan James looking slow and nervy in possession. The match can only get better from here
His record for Benfica is bizarre, 4 goals, 23 goals. 5 goals. 22 goals. Mad how he goes from decent to terrible and back on a seasonal basis
Game is quite stale despite some good chances for both sides. Wales really are defending well especially in the air, they're much better in that department than the Swiss. I don't think they'll concede loads in this tournament (they probably won't score much though). The Swiss are growing frustrated so the longer it stays goalless, the better for the Welsh who may sneak it on a set-piece (since Gareth Bale can't run anymore). This could end in a major upset.
I don't think the atmosphere is helping, it almost feels like it is being played in an empty stadium. I know we should just be happy to have fans back in grounds but this shows how daft it is holding matches in places like Baku - apparently there is availability for 50% of the capacity to be used but they've just failed to sell tickets
