Sjor vs Sme Sjor tactics: Sme tactics: Offence: Our main threat will be coming down the right with Bowen (the oppositions left). We will be looking to break fast and use Pellegrini/De Bruyne to find Nunez (dropping deep to receive the ball and play in either of the wingers) or alternatively playing over the top balls for Bowen to run in behind the defence especially when countering. No overlapping from the full backs today as to not be caught out of position by the wingers and winning the first ball will be the key defensively. Once again the transition from defending to attacking will be key and getting our wingers 1-1 with there man. Both Bowen and Smith-Rowe can run with the ball at there feet and they will be encouraged to do so. Defence: When the opponents have the ball, Camavinga will be asked to press the ball playing midfielder (hence his position a little further up in the middle this time) as to not give them too much space to pull the strings. We could have tried to mark Mbappe but I feel stopping the supply to him is more doable. This will be particularly important if Thiago plays. If the opponents try to overlap either down the left or the right, then either Pellegrini or De Bruyne will double up with my left/right back. De Bruyne and Pellegrini will also have license to switch roles as both are capable of playing in either position.
