“Dark horses” Denmark come bottom .

Well done to the Aussies .

Presume France weren’t really that bothered .

Argentina or whoever will fancy their chances in the next round playing Australia though.

Easily one of the worst national leagues in the world and with not one stand out player, you've got admire the organisational skills of the manager. I don't think many of the Australian public gave them a chance before this morning but as the sun comes up over this sport mad city people will start to believe that they can emulate 2006..

I really wanted to watch it last night but only lasted half hour before I had to go to bed. Must admit that last Saturday I celebrated Australia’s goal like I would have an England goal (surprised myself tbh). Totally agree on the A league - quality is poor. From the bit I did watch last night they mentioned 20 out of the 26 in the squad had come through the A-League. Think they said though that on the flip side only 8 of them were still playing in it.

France making an official complaint about the disallowed equaliser .

Was it that bad a decision then or are just they just trying to make a point .

In the end didn’t impact their position.

He was in an offside position for the blink of an eye, even after half a dozen replays I wouldn't say he was offside when the ball was played forward, so the goal should have stood I reckon.

I think it was poor from France to make 9 changes and shows a lack of respect for the integrity of the competition. Imagine if Tunisia had got through and knocked somebody else out because of this win? Fortunately it didn't matter in the end but it shouldn't have happened.

To be fair it's the start of summer in Australia and grim as peas here so you can't really compare the two.

It's also a humungous achievement for such a footballing minnow to qualify from the group stages so fair play to them.

To be fair nothing against the convicts doing that, they never had their own football culture in the first place.

Anyway back to ignoring this sportswashing shit, so as you were

It was bought with corruption, 5k workers died because of it, it’s hosted in a country that shits in workers rights and where the lgbt community is persecuted (as are women).

It’s a f*cking sham and I’m not validating FIFAs decision to hold it there by watching it and giving them the revenue

They thought Denmark would get first and so would Argentina. That just leaves Poland or Mexico
