From February 15, when Liverpool won only 0:1 in an away match against Norwich I am waiting for the Champion to perform as I am used to. I expected that after the Lockdown they will come back strong as hell but the results are simply questionable. Looking at the statistics, the ball possession is always like 70% but they are not scoring. What is the problem? I can not identify it. Do you think this will continue even in the new season?

Edit. Forgot to mention that they screwed up so many betting slips

Probably taken their foot off the pedal a bit ?

Although they created a load of chances v Burnley but Pope was excellent in goal.

  3. There are 3 things:

    a) no team is fully baked,

    b) The system of mass subs and drinks breaks actually hinders teams that play as we do. The refs randomly blow for drinks and you might have a defensive free.

    c) more than anything we are using the time to rotate and build up for next season

If you look at burnley we were actually quite poor in front of goal. Their goal was right after drinks and people were asleep. No disrespect to the fine shot Rodriguez had. The attitude at the end and the amount of chance suggests we have not slackened off.

Exactly the same as city game. Sloppiness (joe gomez has been quite sloppy tbh) really poor finishing (city game, everton game, burnley game) but not any "slacking off" par se.

We will imo see a proper effort at a preseason very shortly. the first 2 weeks of the return form covid was minimal. We would normally do 3 sessions a day in camp. they got 90mins max with 5 players.
