I don't f*cking get it! My friend's currently paying between £1300-£1400 on a VW Polo, yet for a 5-year old Punto me and my parents have scoped out we're being quoted nigh-on £2500; and that's the cheapest, even with my Dad (who's been driving since '82 and only claimed once) as the named driver! It astounds me, it really f*cking does. Not only that but it boils my piss how girl's can get insurance - without being an additional driver - for only £1000. F*ck off.
That's surely wrong When I was on my Dads as a learner, I took it up to £1300 I think, then on my own I was £1500
try more than. I was quoted very high for my insurance, I checked them and they gave me a quote £500 cheaper than the lowest quote I had been given
When I took out my first car insurance I paid £2100. Since my first year no claims I'm now having to pay £1300. Should be around £700 next year. And yes, it all depends on if you're male or female.
Yes and male. No f*cking idea how his quote is so low though. Cheers pal, I'll show it to my parents tomorrow. I've heard they're quite cheap, as are Direct Line supposedly.
I've been driving for 7 months. I pay £1300 on my 206 (54 plate). I was thinking of leasing a car from a private leasing company, Bran new Vauxhall Astra 1.4 SXI. The insurance is only £50 more.. Any reason why?
Did you use a car comparison website? Go compare Confused Money Supermarket Compare the Market etc...?
I can't believe how much insurance is these days for young lads. When I passed my test at 17, my parents bought me a 1.6 Ford Escort and the insurance was only £750.
D'you know something, that's a very valid point and one I hadn't even thought of. An area just up the road from me is as rough as f*ckery, and every so often we get the drunken chav arsewipes strolling along the street. A good point well made, Stret. Kudos. Should I eventually be successful, I've said I'll keep it in a locked garage. Sure have. Still being quoted extortionate amounts! Yeah mate, passed last month.
Strange that, I passed in Febuary, and got Quoted £900 for my mates 04 Punto. Do you live on like the worst council estate in Britain?
As a matter of fact I do. In the decent part though, there's very little bother where I live. But regardless ...
