Oh yeah, it's all our fault now!....absolute bollocks Shamima Begum was 'groomed' and UK 'failed to protect her'
Well I think I knew the answer...….some people get legal aid some don't.....I believe she has forfeited her case though.
Shamima Begum loses appeal over UK citizenship - BBC News We don't f*cking want you here. Take the hint.
It's besides the point. She isn't a Bangladeshi citizen so the UK is unilaterally making her stateless. Just because you're eligible for another citizenship doesn't mean you actually hold that citizenship. This is just setting up precedent for the British government to be able to revoke British citizenship from anyone with recent immigrant descent - a literal fascistic sword hanging over the life of most minorities in the UK - just because Begum is a foolish twat.
By the same notion, should we not consider revoking the citizenship of those Brits who go off to join the IDF as they enact war crimes in Gaza?
The IDF, although clearly carrying out war crimes, are not classed as a terrorist organisation. Same as brits who go and fight in Ukraine. Not sure why anyone would be up in arms about this personally. This is a woman (so what if she was classed as a girl at the time) who was willing to eat, sleep, shag and have babies with men who would have cut any british person's head off with a large knife if given half a chance. **** her. Let her rot in the desert.
Not quite the same thing? Begum had her citizenship revoked because she openly joined and supported Islamic State, a proscribed terrorist organisation. As abhorrent as the IDFs recent (and not so recent) activities have been they are still broadly supported by the UK government.
What the UK thinks doesn't change what the individual should think. If the Government does it that doesn't automatically make something right. I don't agree that we revoke someone's citizenship at all. They are British and they are this countries problem. But if I were to think it is OK then if i believed what the IDF was doing amounted to war crimes (I do) then I would also believe the same decision should be extended to those who choose to go and join the IDF.
The government makes the rules, disagreeing with it/them doesn't change anything. I don't think we (the UK) should ever revoke citizenship of someone committing crimes on UK soil, but once he/she decides to export their crimes to another country I reckon they've left themselves open to being 'exiled', especially if those overseas crimes were against everything the UK stands for.
We should revoke citizenship of anybody who goes to fight for a foreign nation, similarly anybody with dual citizenship should be forced to pick which one to keep.
She admits to sewing suicide bombers into their vests and she said when she saw a bucket of heads of hostages it didn't phase her at all,i have no doubt if we took her back she would try and convert people to fight for IS she cannot be trusted.
