Handanovic, his substitute, is a very good player. It's also good in save penalties( I don't know what's the english word). surely one of the best serie A goalkeeper.
however, Julio has no future to inter because of his huge wage.

Could the Serie B be allowed as well? (not that it bothers me too much)

Because I love their badge, c'mon Delfino Pescara Calsio...

We can't hide from the fact that Serie A is a mucher weaker league then it used to be, but i think it's going to be an interesting season.

Juve have to be favourites but after them it's up for the taking. The Milan clubs are proabbly as weak as i've ever seen them so the likes of Napoli, Lazio, Roma and others might be able to take advantage.

So word is that Milan and Inter have swapped Cassano and Pazzini with Milan paying 7 million euros as well.

One the face of it it looks as if Milan have been screwed in the transfer market again as Cassano is the better player. But they need a proper centre forward after Zlatans departure and if Pazzini can get his Sampdoria form back it might not be so bad.

He was always ok, but nothing more really.

Haven't really seen him play for a year or two now though, he must be getting on a bit.

Hard to say really, depends if he's just there for a last pay day or genuinley wants to play. What do you Watford fans think of Troy Deeney now by the way?!

He's struggling to find goals at the moment. We miss him even though he did stamp on a students head whilst he was on the floor.

Geoffrey M'bia is rumoured to be linked with Udinese. 12 goals in 14 appearances for Standard Liege last season. Would be a decent replacement for Adamoah.

First week of Serie A football is complete then. Juve, Inter and Napoli all impressive. I'm loving this new Inter side under Stramaccioni.

Same can't be said for Milan, all those departures in the summer and now losing 1-0 to newly promoted Sampdoria. I'm sure they'll bounce back, but they still have a bit to do in the market in my opinion.

Milan's central defence has gone from Thiago Silva and Nesta to Bonera and Yepes. That's some drop in quality.

Delighted that Samp are back with a win, interesting to see Ciro Ferrara given a second go at management in Serie A with Samp after his sacking by Juve a few years ago, he was at the time a little too young for a job like Juventus though, so maybe this is a good chance of a fresh start for him.
However one has to say Milan are in a mess at the moment, the side just looks decimated and imo they will be struggling to make the top 3 this season unless they get out there and buy a few players between now and the close of the window. Their back 4 at the weekend was De Sciglio (promising youngster from academy), Bonera (never rated him any more than a Parma/Fiorentina standard centre back), Yepes (old and well past it now) and Antonini (see Bonera). Yes Abate and Mexes were both injured but Milan urgently need a few reinforcements in defence, a new left fullback is a must and probably another right back too in case of injuries to Abate. They have signed Cristian Zapata from Villarreal so surely him and Mexes will be the defensive partnershipin the centre when fit.
If i were them though, i would now take advantage of Real's signing of Modric to get Kaka back from Real on loan till the end of the season, their attacking playmaker at the weekend was Kevin Prince Boateng and i highly doubt any of Italy's or Europe's superpowers will lose any sleep over the prospect of facing him this season. Maybe they could offer 100k a week up front and try to get Real to cover 50/60k of Kaka's wage per week for him to go out on loan. Though i hear he is on even higher wages per week than the 2 figures that i stated above combined. Even if they have to break the bank to do it, Milan simply must as atm, there is no creativity in the team that will threaten the very top teams. Another striker would be handy too given Pato's injury record of late.

Good solid starts to the season for Napoli, Juve and Inter, those 3 will be my top 3 this season unless Milan urgently get in a few bodies before deadline day.

Milan have now signed Bojan, not sure if its on loan or permanent. Never really seen him play a full game so don't know what he's made of.

As for Kevin Prince Boateng, he's played as Milan's main attacking midfielder for the last two seasons and done a very good job. He isn't a classic playmaker but plays more in the mold of someone like Gerrard or Lampard. He's a lot lot better then he was when he played in England.

Unless Milan can get Kaka on the cheap I wouldn't bother bringing him back, its not worth the risk.

I also heard they signed Bojan too, will be interesting to see how that works out, havent seen him too much at all for Roma last season, i dont know how good he really is. I think the hype at Barcelona that surrounded him and the lack of frequent games didnt help him develop. Now that he is going to be vying for the same posistion as Robinho, Pazzini and Pato it could be difficult for him to get frequent games.

Boateng has done a good job and i reckon he could still slot into their starting line up, however, in a slightly different posistion as i do think they need a better playmaker than him. Given Kaka knows the club inside out and would be given a free role in the team behind a front two like he was back in Anchelotti's time at the club when they played the diamond 4-4-2 and he was at the tip of it. Even if it costs a lot, i reckon it will be worth it, I do think Real would be willing to contribute a small fraction of his wages and send him out on loan, even if it is 60k a week they have to put down alongside Milan's wage contribution, compared to 200k a week or whatever he is on currently on, it will save them a fortune on an expensive luxury they no longer need due to the signing of Modric.

Milan's midfield and attack would then look like this

    Nocerino, Montolivo, Boateng
    Kaka
    Robinho, Pato/Pazzini

Boateng could be used as an all-action box to box player like Marchisio is for Juventus, Nocerino will do the Gattuso role of old and Montolivo will work in tandem with Kaka as the deep lying playmaker.

Im amazed still at how many players Milan have on their books that they could shed that could fund the wages for another fullback and Kaka, two players which they could urgently do with. Amelia is no longer needed as the reserve goalkeeper as they signed Gabriel, a young Brazilian to serve as the back up to Abbiati, given that they have add Constant, Traore and Montolivo in the summer i would doubt that Strasser is needed anymore and i was amazed they signed Mesbah and from what i have heard he has copped the flak for a lot of poor displays towards the end of last season. Shed those 3 players, (and i do believe that some midtable Serie A/La Liga/Bundesliga clubs would be interested in all 3 of them) and promote a few youngsters in their place.
