Thanks to @Panja What music will you ask to be played at your funeral? Will you be buried or cremated? Massive funeral or small family affair, or don't you care because you'll be there in body only?
I want to be laid out in one of these surrounded by my worldly possessions, set on fire and pushed out into the middle of Walsall Arboretum lake: ... Accompanied by this tune: The Council have been rather uncooperative so far, but I'm hoping to wear them down before the end. Otherwise, as above but without the Swan pedelo/lake thing.
Have often thought about this which is quite morbid because hopefully I've got a good 50/60 years left in me I'm not religious at all and have no interest in a religious ceremony and not particular bothered about anyone giving eulogies or having anyone fawn over me. I'd quite like to just have everyone I love there, play some of my favourite music for 20 minutes or however long a funeral lasts maybe with some pictures of me and my family/friends showing on the TV and then everyone go off to the pub to have a good time whilst I burn in the furnace. Would like Whatever by Oasis played as I'm carried in and Hurt by Johnny Cash whilst the curtain closes, the rest of the playlist changes constantly but at some point Jupiter by Holst would be played.
Genuinely not arsed, entirely up to the people I leave behind and what works best for them. Maybe stick a Charlton shirt or wreath on the coffin or something, job done.
I decided to change my mind and be cremated, next time i visit Wilkins cider farm i'll ask Roger if my ashes can be spread around hiss apple orchard.
For the bit where everyone files into the crematorium I'd like: Then, after some bloke I never met has talked cobblers for a couple of minutes, and there's been absolutely no hymn singing or praying, I'd like everyone to file out to: No reason why the whole procedure should take longer than 15 - 20 minutes beginning to end.
Cremated please. They can play TIE Fighter attack from Star Wars, followed by The Asteroid Field. Then when everyone is leaving, play the music from The Electric Light Parade.
Actually, think I'll go for this version. Possibly edges it. Absolutely iconic tune though regardless.
