Right, as most will know if they read my thread, I've just got a new DSLR. Went with the sony alpha 330 in the end.
Going to post all my pictures in one thread, the ones today are just basic, probably rubbish, as I get used to my camera. Will be interesting to see how I progress.
The ones I took today were just from my back garden and all are the basic pictures with no editing at all.
Let me know what you think, or any advice or any suggestions for ways I could edit the pictures.

Mine gets used 4 times as much to get rid of the evidence of a party.

    Good photos BTW.

Cheers guys, coincidentally, for the spiders web one on the washing line, I was trying to focus on something further away and came across it so I thought I'd capture that too

What settings are you using for those pictures? Or are you using full auto?

All of them were fully automatic, mostly using the 70-300mm lens I got

Jay, do you know what you are doing or are you a complete novice?

Cos i'm htinking of getting an nice camera, but am wondering if its a waste of money, cos i'm a complete beginner.

Is it a case of taking loads of pictures and learning as you go?

I did a photography GCSE, so I know what makes a good picture etc and the different parts of camera but I wasn't 100% with everything and I'm still learning
