It's almost Christmas. The trimmings are up. The stockings are hung over the fireplace. There's a tree with an angel Cowley on the top...on closer inspection it appears that the angel is covered in the kisses of 6,000 plastic Lincoln fans. Bit weird. The Imps welcome everyone's second team in the division Accrington, let's hope they've got a Kee to unlock that stern home defence.

The early season turkeys have made a superb effort of escaping the oven recently. Yep, Chesterfield and Port Vale are on the run and they're heading away to Wycombe and Carlisle, respectively. What do you reckon, though? Are they coming back home with their giblets intact, or are the carving knives being sharpened?

There's a present under the tree with Morecambe's name on the tag. Give it a squeeze. Give it a shake. Feels like an 'Akinde (pen) 89', to me. We've all be the lucky recipients of these from Barnet, they've been handing them out for years now. They are the socks and pants of the Conference/L2.

Speaking of presents, this time last year around 4,000 Grimsby fans made the short trip to high flying Donny with the promise of all manner of shiny gifts. Unfortunately all they got was an early free kick dropping down into the back of their net. Still, a good 1,500+ or so of them will be making the journey to Notts County ignoring the advice that the Nolan Sisters are notoriously tight hosts. Can Russell Slade's men make it 4 back to back wins, or is this one too many mice pies?

Up next, Mansfield. They've bought a load of PS4s and iPhone Xs but oh too often have they played like a bunch of knockoff Sega Saturns. Still, I fully expect Yeovil to shut up shop at Field Mill and try to get back home with a £5 Waterstones gift card and/or not having to kiss Steve Evans under the mistletoe.

Poor Crewe have been running on empty for the last month and just need to get to that January pay day. Fortunately, Crawley are visiting and they are also woeful. 1-0/0-1, surely?

Forest Green were planning on having a quiet tofu and greens pre-Christmas dinner this weekend, however Luton are en route and they've got their very own LUKE cranBERRY and Danny Stylton sauces and they only go with the one type of meat their fans are expecting: GOALS.

Elsewhere, the robins of Cheltenham are flying to the depressingly icy leafless trees of Coventry. Cambridge are kicking themselves for not buying any new alcohol...if only they had some...Newport to share with their guests. And Exeter will have to make sure they don't get molested by the Stevenage sex pests.

Wow this place really is dead.

Anyway, point away at Notts County off the back of 3 back to back wins? I'll take the occasional Spade style boring as **** match killing 0-0 when this is the situation. Will take the same at Luton next week too, please.

We at last beat a team in the lower half of the league.
We've lost to most of them yet we've beaten most of the top six. Without Jones and Andreu for the rest of the season Mark Robins will have to do some decent business in January, which he has said he is on the verge of signing two ready for next month, but he admits we will have to let some go to finance them.
No doubt one of our promising youngsters will have to be sacrificed. We've had no luck with injuries this season, the two most creative both lost to ACL's
