Done deal now - with Kroos in as well they've just added world class quality to a squad full of it anyway.

Which has the better attacking depth now - Real or Barca.

Bit hard to say, maybe a few too many at Real. But what about Angel?

Gotta believe at least one of Di Maria and Khedira will be sold.

Well Rodriguez will be playing Di Maria's position so he basically has to go. Aren't PSG supposed to be in for him?

Barca and Real's forward line looking very potent. In reality though, Ronaldo will take a while to get back up to full fitness, Neymar the same, Suarez is out for a while and Messi looked exhausted at the World Cup.

Could take a while before we see these two teams really hitting it off with their best sides out.

    Not bad.

Shame Atletico are getting their team pulled apart, and Barca and Real are able to strengthen with some quality signings.

Atleti supposed to be on the verge of signing Griezmann. Combine that with Mandzukic and I think their attack is actually better on balance.

If Oblak can replace maybe 75% of what they got from Courtois they should still be top 3 at worst.

I feel bad for Di Maria. He was arguably their best player in the big games last season

That's the price you pay for signing for the 'best club in the world' they're a fantasy football team still obsessed with big names. They're getting worse because now they're replacing big names with flavours of the month who won't improve them. Di Maria was excellent last season, I'd wager he was better than James.

Yeah they'll be fine, they always bounce back & replace their stars. They still have the best CB partnership in the world, Juanfran, Gabi, Koke, Turan plus those two top signings.

I wonder how good James is defensively. Di Maria gets through a lot of work for an attacking player which is why they could get away with a Modric-Alonso-Di Maria midfield trio.

Typical Real Madrid really. Whatever success they have will again be down to sheer talent (I'm including Ancelotti here) rather than any kind of overarching philosophy or long-term strategy. Di Maria was probably their best player last season, but they had to have a marquee signing - especially with Barca getting Suarez - so here we are.

I would laugh hard if Atleti win it again, considering the money Barca & Real have spent and also the fact that Atleti have lost 3 of their best players from last season

    Would be awesome to see.

I wonder how Griezmann will fit into a Simeone built team.

Excellent. Shame that because he appealed the ban was not lengthened. The evidence was pretty damming TBF so not sure how we thought he would get it dropped.

However he can now train with the team, play in behind closed doors matches and be ready to go for el clasico when his ban ends, rather than spending a couple of months training in a private gym.
