You're on a wind up surely. How were we in a false position exactly? Best defence in the League, least defeats. Yeah, we're shit we are, should have been midtable.

We've been outstanding all season - that was, by a country mile, our worst performance and full credit to Northampton for getting right in our faces and taking full advantage of it. Yes, we massively bottled it, but before lockdown we were the form team in the division and showing no signs of slowing down. We were absolutely heading for a charge on the automatic positions.

Got to feel for you there, can't be many worse ways to lose a play-off semi. Would've been nice to have a West Country Play-Off Final too.

Hopefully Duff stays and you can mount another challenge next year.

Well most Exeter fans seem to agree. Check our forum out prior to kick off. You just never seemed that great when we played you.. Best defence in the league then conceded 3 like that. Just seems you never shouldve been that high, on the back of good form you did well towards the end but never had the squad to be up there.

And your manager was saying you'd have got autos is laughable.. come on..

Exeter fans been watching a lot of Cheltenham then have they? Or are they basing it off the one game at St James Park and a 0-0 draw. The mighty Exeter - can't even beat Cheltenham at home.

We've been brilliant all season, not just the few games before the run-in. We were 1 point behind Exeter with a game in hand - hadn't lost in 6 and had lost 1 in 10. If that's not set up for an assault on the automatic positions then I'm damned if I know what is.

But no, some fans of another club know better because we drew 0-0 earlier in the season...

Yes, us Exeter fans, the pundits and the bookies were all wrong. Fair play. Unlucky Cheltenham. Best team by a mile. Stolen. Good luck in League 1 next season.

Weren't you crying when Tomo gave you the 'will never win' section yet bookies gave you worst odds outta 4 teams that day? You're bias towards your team and that's okay but ultimately you had the worst team out of the 4 and that's fine, you had the lowest budget. Nothing to be ashamed of mate, take it on the chin.

I thought Cheltenham put in the best away performance I've seen at Home Park this season. Their performance this evening seemed completely out of character for them.

I had them as winners on my playoff winner/runner-up acca for Leagues One & Two. Looked like a good choice after Thursday night. Apologies, Cheltenham fans :coat

4-0 matey, and we will be there next season to do the same....

Nice of your fans to give us £25, for the Ryan Lowe cutout, after all, it was his idea earlier in the season to send 11 pafc cardboard cutouts to play the match for you :laugh::laugh:

Northampton only played Plymouth once this season. It was 3-1 to Northampton

Colchester played them twice. Colchester won 3-0 and lost 1-0

Exeter played them once.. we smashed them 4-0

You played them and won 2-0, and lost 1-0

You were the worst team they played out of the 4 play off teams. :pointlaugh

Cheltenham were one of only two sides to win at Home Park this season. Swindon the other. Maybe Northampton and/or Exeter would have won at Home Park this season too... but we'll never know :whistle

Good luck to you in the playoff final. Same to Northampton.

Maybe I’m just speaking for myself (and I guess this could depend on where teams are in the table as next season unfolds) but even if you get promoted, I think most of our fans will view Portsmouth as our main ‘rivals’ next season- assuming Portsmouth aren’t in the Championship next season, of course

Should have heard my language when it went in. The wife wasn't impressed as I nearly woke the kids up.

I still got this hunch it's gonna be the Cobblers in L1 next season though I hope I'm wrong. It's not that I hate Northampton, they hate the pish almost as much as we do so that's grand, it's only that I feel it's about time Exeter go up. They've done enough in recent years to deserve it imo.

I wonder how many both teams would have taken?

Another trip to Wembley for Exeter and Northampton not far from Wembley really.
