How do you see Liverpool lining up next season. I’m doing a fantasy team and I want some Liverpool players. Is Firminho still likely to start.? Or will Jota play up top?.

There is some dependency on any further incomings and how the players who were involved in the latter stages of the tournaments are on return.

Reckon the season starts with Matip & Konate in defence, Tsimikas might get more playing time as Robertson needs some rotation, he's played a ridiculous amount for the past few years. Jota is likely to start in the front 3 at the start of the season imo with Firmino being given extra time off after the Copa America.

Do you not think VVD starts the season with Konate? Or is it too soon considering the injury he has had.

It looks like Klopp may be tinkering with the idea of having 3 possible attackers in the middle with Firminho/Jota/Ox. So with Firminho possibly given extra time off, could see Ox start.

It would be nice to see Robertson being rotated with Tsimikas as last season Robertson played far too many games, and you could clearly see the fatigue was there, in his performances. Would be nice to see Trent rotated too, just so that we don't burn him out or risk injury.

Wouldn't expect to see Virgil till the champions League group games start personally.

I'm happy to see Matip in defence, so I'm confident that there won't be any issues till the big man is back.

The only concern at the minute, is that many are leaving and we aren't looking to bring anyone in at the minute to replace. And with the AFCON mid season, we are going to be light up front.

Shaq to Lazio should be done this week which opens up another foreign spot in the squad so think an attacker will be signed

Aye, as much as we use outgoings to fund stuff, and the outrage amongst a certain sect of the online fanbase due to 'only' bringing in one of the most highly rated young cbs on the planet so far, we've actually got 18 foreign players in the team squad (including Karius). With the limit of 17 in the PL squad we need to get rid of some players to be able to bring any more in.

Shaq, Origi, Karius & perhaps Minamino all be off soon I'd assume. We can't afford to keep anyone on the books on first team wages playing u23s.

I don't think we'll get rid of Minamino tbh, reckon Klopp might have plans for him, considering Mane and Salah will be off to the AFCON.

Shaq, Origi and Karious are definitely on the move this window, hopefully we can get an extra midfielder in, and possibly another attacker from the money made and saved from these.

Another midfielder would be reassuring because Keita just doesn't seem capable of sustaining a run in the team. Perhaps this would be the season for Oxlade-Chamberlain to reassert himself in the team in midfield.

Going into the season with Fabinho, Thiago, Henderson, Keita, Jones, Oxlade-Chamberlain as midfield options isn't terrible. But two injuries and suddenly it's starting to look thin. And none of the players mentioned could match Wijnaldum for his minutes.

Beyond that, that group doesn't seem particularly balanced imo. Keita, Jones and Oxlade-Chamberlain are quite similar.

More likely we see Ox further forward he's been up front in preseason.

I hope Minamino is given the chance as it is clear there is a decent player there who wants to succeed with the club and in this league.

I fear he may be a player the club intentionally signed to turn a quick profit. Ben Davies is another, anticipate he'll probably go for £5/6m eventually. It's the only logic I can think of because he isn't going to get a sniff and never did.

I don't think he'll be world class, but I reckon he could be a useful addition to the team, and can help with rotating the front three. There is a player in there, but we just haven't had the chance to see, and didn't get much of a chance when he was in the Liverpool team before his loan.

Davies was nothing but a panic buy with the intent of signing on for a profit. I can't think of any other reason why he was signed for. He wasn't given any time on the pitch when we were desperate for defenders and still put Henderson/Fabinho in defence when he was available.
