Evening FF folk. Would it at all be possible to perhaps have a drop down of users when tagging someone in a post based upon the team they support? Sometimes it’s difficult to remember who you want or need to engage with when talking about the opposition so might be a neat little tool to use. Alternatively, might it perhaps be beneficial we add a sticky thread to this section of the forum listing who supports who? At least then there’s something we can go back to. Obviously this can be added to slowly as opposed to spending hours laboriously adding everyone.
It isn't a field that is compulsory for members to fill in when registering, some decide not to say who they support and some name several teams So no, it's not possible I'm afraid, sorry.
As Street says, the existing setup doesn't give us the capability you're looking for. However, there are possibly some options we can look at using group options. Bear with - won't be a quick thing.
Is ot possible to create tags, and if you use the tag, it alerts multiple users e.g. if I use @StretfordEnd stret gets an alert to say he has been mentioned. Can we have if where if iwas to say use @manutd anyone who is added to that tag gets an alert e.g. Stret and myself both get an alert from 1 tag?
