Who remembers Luton's and QPR's plastic pitches? Hectic footy from the days when BBC and ITV showed live games.

Yeah, we are talking mid to late 80's here. I remember Big Ron's Man U side trouncing Luton 6-0 I think. Robbo, Stapleton, Muhren & co. Chris Turner too.

Sure astroturf these days is just the same, We play at lunchtimes once a week and blood is invariably spilled. I remember one fella landed face first - what a mess.

When I was younger I did one of these footy training things at Kenilworth Road, so I got to play on the plastic pitch!

Any cuts or grazes? Or was it just a training session without a game?

It was mainly training sessions but we got to play a small match at the end of each session. I got a few grazes though as I seemed to keep ending up in goal!!
