Someone said that experience players like you and Guyett would have seen through Ollie's counter claim and still thought he was scum. Which is just utter bollocks.

I wouldn't say I would have seen through it, but I don't think I would have followed so blindly. Definitely would have fallen down my list though.

If anyone said they knew Ollie was mafia they would be lying. There was no way to prove he was telling the truth or lying. The thought slightly crossed my mind but even if I said it, the substance and thought of everyone else would stick anyway.

Maybe in hindsight...we call all play Monday Morning Quarterback as Easty puts it.
Whilst I don't remember ever saying Ollie was confirmed Town - he was good as, he'd earned our trust with a good play. Most would have fallen for it and with so many unconfirmed would have put him to the back of your lists.

Another day and I'd gone towards Easty - the fact that he claimed last. Not sure why I didn't consider that previously. As I said huge gamble by the Mafia to avoid hiding in the VTs
I've never known that to be the case.

Not saying that, but an experienced player certainly would not have considered him a confirmed townie, as technically there is no such thing in live play.

We had to pretty much go with him as confirmed, we only had 1 true confirmed in Yak who was new. With who was left it wouldn't have made a difference if he wasn't truly confirmed because he was still ahead of the 3 unconfirmed.

Yeah I said that about Easty's claiming last and the convenience of his role. I also had a thought about it last night after I went offline that it wouldn't make sense having another PR.

But you couldn't make it stick. There were 2/3 other people higher up on most peoples suspect list than me.

Appreciate the credit towards Ollie and I, SS! A number of others (not all) seem to think it was all down to luck. The mafia chat and strategic selection of our night kills suggest otherwise.

It deffo was not luck. It was a cracking play using the opportunities the possible roles allowed.

It's all to do with experience; the last game was a steep learning curve for a few. This is where you have to consider the bigger picture and look into certain things more deeply. I can't say how I would have reacted to the situation as it's completely different looking at the game with the answers than without.

That's why I think the dead thread should stay in the dark about who the remaining mafia are. It would be interesting to see if we get this 'I knew x player was mafia' at the end of the next game.

I've played on both sides and been a Mod for a game or two.
You see all sorts. I've seen both sides throw it away and play appallingly, seen plenty of games were the winning side has just been less stupid than the other. I've seen flukes and luck all over.

That was good strategy from the Mafia. I felt some Town even played well, just the Mafia were better - despite what Captain Hindsight and the Hindsighteers can/will/are saying.

You could also add some sort of medium role where they can ask the dead questions or something!!!

Think before we had it that if you were mafia you weren't allowed in the dead thread for that reason

Maybe if you're mafia you should be able to read the dead thread but not post in it. It spoils it really. Or you're allowed to post continue to post in the mafia thread but not see the dead thread.

That would be nice. When I got offed by the SK first night I had Mr Impatient; Shane badgering me the whole time about who was mafia & I still managed to keep it quiet til near the end. I think it's hard for the mod to keep quiet as they want to talk about stuff from their perspective of knowing everything as well.

I was keeping it quiet, it was SL who came in and blurted it out straight away!

You know what's annoying? Guyett actually did visit Sterling that night, so my guess was bang on
