first game you played together, I only know as most of the thread was clogged up with the two of you posting links & justifying your buddying up. & wtf how does that make sense? So you've read her wrong when she was mafia?
The meta here is quite different, and it's unnerving. People don't behave rationally or as expected. WS, as the town cop, faking his result and acting as though he wasn't part of a team just really blew my mind. I did think it was interesting that Kaboose died N1. Only Guyett - someone from our site with knowledge of our meta and methods - would have made such a decision, but I refused to believe I'd made the wrong call on him. It was all downhill from there, with subsequent reads bouncing off that one. The thing that finally made me realize how ****in stupid I'd been was his last VCA and reversal (and his refusal to even consider what I was saying about Shane - he totally ignored it). Town Guyett would never have turned on me with so little reason. Ever. It would have take a lot more blatant scum-motivated activity for him to even start waffling about it. At that point, I realized what he was doing with the VCA. I should have reevaluated much sooner. (Though tbh - I don't feel an ounce of regret about hammering WS.) I've never bombed so hard. I'm no genius player or anything, but I like to think I do ok. After almost 2 years, I've learned to rely on my instincts. When they are wrong, it's near impossible to see it. I'm sorry for that. Also, I'm disappointed in Ollie. I always like to see the SK fight a good battle. The serial killer is the underdog. He has no team, not even one he doesn't know about. He has no support. No allies. No abilities to help him. He not only has to scum hunt, but he has to remain hidden from the town and avoid lynch. It's one of, if not the most, difficult roles in mafia. When played right, it's a beautiful thing to see as any alignment. I felt like Ollie gave up before the game had even begun. I was sad for him. The rest of the town did amazingly well, IN SPITE OF my full-on retard mode. Practically fought against 5 mafia with me. *sigh* And still won. Congrats. Guyett, I hope you know that I will never trust you again, and will just PL you D1 from here on out. <3 You played me really well. Not even Sthar has been able to with that degree of success. you win. I was kind of wondering who would be the first to get it wrong :P (kicking myself for claiming VT directly to the scumteam on D1.... )
Whole ETL-Guy dynamic really ****ed with me tbh Never allowed myself to get my own read on Guyett, just kept following ETL's read as I knew she was Town. Stupid really. No matter now as we won but I did learn something.
What are you on about, when the 100% confirmed cop says he's investigated you as mafia then you're dead, it's that simple! I died early cos WS lied early, that was it. No chance I was winning after that no matter how much I 'battled' so nothing I did after that mattered. Best I could do was offer to kill for town & that would just unfairly sway the game. As for blending in as town I was pretty much spot on, wasted time on Sterling day 1, I should have pushed to lynch Andrew more day 2 & I made some unnecessary scummy comments at the start of day 2 so I've learned from that but I didn't mind getting mod killed as it didn't matter. I've learned from these though so it's all good & I was happy with how much I got right. I'd hunted for mafia well enough to be the mafia's main target (check out how they let you live til the end) I played alot better than you with your cringe worthy constant defence of Guyett which I brought up as a load of bollox. But hey, play in the next game & redeem yourself. As odd as you've found the game, & as dismissive as you've been about the players, I think you've learned more than anyone from it!
And never underestimate the power of chaining. With your BP, you would have been a good asset for town. Could have killed me :P
The one game I'm godfather and there's no bodyguard so I couldn't troll when I got found ETL I persuaded Guyett into killing kaboose as he wanted to kill someone else. And I can vouch for there being more aggressive players on the other site, managed to bump into one on my second game on there haha
Yeah tbh ETL the game and players here are probably far more unpredictable, which at times is infuriating but can also be hilarious . Also thanks LEF, was a really good game even though I died N1 . Well modded.
Players here ant as unpredictable. I think it was more that the forum setup is different (no ISO's) and it was an almost entire new play list with vastly different play styles (site meta) other than me I think the only people etl knows here are hitman and itsintheblood (she played with both) and hodge who she's seen playing.
