I hate that this section of the forum is so quiet but are we all hyped for the MWII release?

This may be the first ever cod I’ve pre ordered.

The more COD's I see, the more I'm tempted as it looks like Metal Gear Solid play.

That was bloody good tbf. Reminded me of Wet Work from COD 4 but brought into the modern day.

No not really looks like all the others, and I am certainly not pre-ordering a computer game (only need to look at Battlefield 2042, Halo and to an extent the last Cod Vanguard to know not to pre-order them), never mind one for £60!

Played the last modern warfare and black ops, but don't think they are worth the money

Yes, I'm looking forward to this one. I am on holiday on release day this year but I will definitely be buying this one so I might pre order anyway for the bonuses if they're any good

I'd quite like it if you could buy the campaign separately for a lower price. I cba with mp or Warzone any more.

Yeah it looks as though two of the old favs are making a return. The ACR and the Intervention and as we already pretty much know, high rise will be back as well. Proper nostalgia there.

Looking forward to this. I've been playing MW2019 again recently - streets ahead of both Cold War and Vanguard.

If you are a Sky TV customer, check your VIP rewards and you should be able to get a code to play the beta now if on PlayStation and 22nd Sept if on Xbox/PC.

I think I'm gonna wait til the Sony deal expires next year and just get this when it comes to gamepass, which is mad to say when I was in the queue at Asda at midnight with a mate to pick up the original MW2 and then stayed up til 6 a.m playing it simpler times.

How are you liking the look of the weapon level and camo system? Me and Mike are thinking of actually going for mastery this time around lol

I think I'm going to like it. Being forced to use certain weapons to unlock others should introduce a bit of variety and potentially find a weapon you like that you otherwise wouldn't have given much thought to.

As for the camos... Sounds good in theory but I'll see how it feels in practice before I commit to mastery lol!

Is it actually decent? I really want to play the campaign but don't to shell out full whack if it's no good. Plus I'm gonna wait til I get the Series X.

The campaign is quality if that's what you'd mainly play. Good variety of missions and plenty of nostalgia mixed in with a new storyline.

Multiplayer is quality so far too.

Thoroughly enjoyed the campaign tbh. Some of the cinematics were incredible.

Campaign loos great on PS5. Very cinematic. Multiplayer is fun but honestly the maps are kinda meh and that border crossing one is horrendous.

The boarder crossing map is absolute SPR heaven mate. It's not a great map but I have a lot of fun on it with that gun. There isn't a map I truly hate yet which I think is a first in cod for me but there's none I would say are amazing yet either but don't forget, we have highrise , Favela, Terminal and Quarry coming back in this game so maps won't be an issue.

Btw @Benzel The campaign was really really good imo. Like Will said, lots of MW2 nostalgia with some amazing graphics and a solid story line.

In MP I've already golded the Kastov, SPR, F-Tac and the M4. Gold grinding is much easier now. I'm going for Plat ar's and snipers.

The only thing I don't really like about the game is the fact that it forces you to use other guns to unlock the ones you want to use. I get trying to spread the meta a bit but I should have the choice of the gun I want to use imo.
