Got rid of that full stop after “heard” which has been overly annoying me for about 4 years.

Only one way to kick off the thread:

whoops, didn't see that the other tinpot thread already exists. I suppose the mods could merge this into the other thread.

Getting in on the first page of the only thread that matters on the forum. Our rickety old stadium not being able to withstand a stiff breeze.

Current Morecambe manager Stephen Robinson has turned up to his interview/appointment for the St Mirren job in Morecambe FC's company car.

Wasn’t that the first time they’d been in the top flight for decades? Seems fine to me.

Yup, nothing wrong with that. Promotion to the Premier League for the first time in over 30 years after having sunk as low as Brighton once did and having to play at the Withdean for a decade or so, I think that's worth a bus parade and packed streets.

You’ll have to excuse Palace fans. You’d think a team with goal music, two administrations, a set of ultras led by a Spurs fan & live animal shows before the game would understand what tinpot means but sadly not.

Managing to spell your own name wrong on your badge is probably a good starting point though :D

First time they'd finished second in the Championship, yep.

To be fair I should've posted this:

That Stags open top bus parade will forever be No 1 on the tinpot list but to me the thing that really sticks out in that pic is the fan with the Liverpool/Mansfield half and half scarf. I repeat - a half and half scarf when you're meant to be celebrating your team's achievement. I mean you know your team's going to win the league so why don't you head off to the club shop and get yourself a proper scarf like?

And lest we forget, here's some footage of that historical day -

And of course THAT pic of the dog :)
