Ok, so I've wanted to do this for a long time. Was going to do it a few years ago until a mate of mine was sadly killed in a bike accident. I bottled it but feel enough time has passed now. Always loved bikes and owned many in my teens. Is it hard to do? I know i'll need a cbt first but from then on i'm pretty clueless about it all. Any pointers?
I didn't say your own bike mate. lol This is something I want to do too, btw. Would love to get my own bike one day.
It’s not as expensive as I first though tbh. CBT first which is £120 including bike and leather hire.
Yeah mate. Then you have to do your a2 then a1 license but I think if you’re over 24 you can skip straight to the a1. Need to actually look it up more tbh.
Just to straight to A, (direct access). Many places do it in a package including CBT for about £800. We would get some sort of fast track being regular drivers too shouldn’t we? If you know what I mean. As it’s just the motorbike we need to learn, we are already very familiar with the rules of the road so that should save some time.
Nice one. Cheers mike. Could’ve sworn that was going to be a link to a picture of Deirdre with my hair.
Yes, you can go up to a 125cc once you pass your CBT but that only lasts two years then you have to do it all again and pay. I got fed up with that so just put in for and passed my test. My 125 easily does 70mph so plenty quick enough. Just use common sense and respect the fact you are on a bike and you will be fine. I love touring about on mine in the Summer.
