He has been excellent at that level. France have possibly the best forward choices a can ever remember them having so it will take a hell of a lot to break into the main squad.
Really wish that we could tie him up on an extended contract but can't see it happening. Either way he's been a revelation for us.

Does he not still have 3 years left anyway. Even if we can keep him this season I doubt we can keep him for any longer than that. If it wasn't for his niggling injuries last season and Rodgers rotations he would be away by now.
Think it's 2?. . .4 year contract so two years left. I think he has his career planned out and the plan was always 2 years here, although he is loving it and won't just go to any club.
I still expect Dembele to move on this summer. This is mainly because there was a lot of talk about '2 year cycles' when he arrived. If he stays, I hope he extends his current deal by a couple of years, to retain his value when we do eventually sell him. It is 2 years left on his deal, as far as I know.
I think he'll go if the right club comes in for him, other clubs may offer the same cash (or even more in wages) but if it's not right for him he won't go and in that scenario I can see him signing an extension. Either way we win but the extension would obviously be my preferred choice.
