Totally agree, unless that's a rule change that's slipped under the radar, retake all day long or at least it used to be.
He obviously wasn’t expecting the shimmy the penalty taker took before hitting it but still an awful decision nonetheless.
Our owner's now asking the supporters to help pay for a new 3G pitch has certainly not gone down well with a fanbase that already has a lot of people who want the owners to sell up. Specially considering for years the owners have said they had been putting money by to cover the cost of a new pitch. We literally have reported a profit 11 years in a row.
Wasn't Oliver Ash the exponent of 3G, lobbied the FA and National League about the benefits, got the leagues rules changed so Maidstone could get promoted. I expect he has made a few quid through 3G4us, resident in France but making profit from a UK company. How many times have you replaced your pitch with its ten year life span?
Nobody (except Star Security) makes a profit from Maidstone United. Least of all the two owners whose money built the ground. The reason we need to fundraise is a combination of covid (remember the National League misappropriating the funds?) and a disastrous relegation season. I’m happy to contribute to a weekly lottery in return for many years of enjoyment at a well run club that has made a small surplus ten years running, while extending the ground twice. Nobody is forced to contribute if they don’t want to, but I’d rather help my club than whinge and make things up on the internet.
Who's making things up?? What I said here is true, I literally remember Oliver saying not long ago that they had been putting money by to cover the new pitch. I was wrong about it being 11 years, its actually 10 but here you go Stones' promotion season profit | 2022/23 'not looking so good' 99 thousand pound profit reported back in March Lets also not forget the owners making a big scene about how they were AGAINST gambling, yet they suddenly changed their mind when they wanted money towards a new pitch. Stones support The Big Step - Maidstone United FC It's hypocritical from the owners, whatever way people want to sugar coat it
Pitch last got replaced in 2016 and probably needed replacing summer 2022, yet somehow it passed the FIFA test the last few off seasons..... Its looked in a poor state for quite a while now
The usual things after a disastrous season. Now playing against weaker teams after relegation. Being full time in a mostly part time league. A clear out of any player not considered a long term prospect to develop, including a few fan favourites. Fresh young blood wanting to prove themselves at a bigger club. A policy of signing fewer but fitter young players. A manager who has played at every level of the game, playing a simple to understand system. Although ironically, the worst thing that could happen now is a third promotion back to a league beyond the current resources and infrastructure.
8 wins in a row for Yeovil and we're 3 pts clear at the top. 5 home games in the next 6 will take its toll on our already struggling pitch (10 home games in 15 so far this season really hasn't helped it) but gives us a great chance to extend that lead.
Levi Amantchi scored his 17th of the season today. I'd be shocked if he's still with us by the end of January, hes only 22 so someone will likely take a gamble on him when the transfer window opens.
Levi has had a few clubs. Levi Amantchi - Player profile 23/24 Wonder what George is doing differently to bring out the best in him.
