Round of 16 on Saturday. The USA will have to get better up front to trouble the Dutch?

Potentially no Sargent or pulisic worries me. Sargent's hold up play was solid today and without pulisic, we just lack creativity. Wright isn't the guy and neither is Morris. I'd like to see reyna get the start

That Wright looked like an absolute donkey.

Think USA will make it very hard for the Netherlands though. Can see a potential upset here.

Tough one to call, the dutch havent impressed at all, the US have something about them that makes me think it could be an upset...according to the bookies anyway.

Definitely has upset potential, but as others have noted America's lack of firepower is an issue. I can see both teams struggling to score and this going all the way to pens.

What are you basing it on. The Dutch were second best against Ecuador and only scraped past senegal. Also how would Argentina v Brazil in semis affect a Dutch path to the final? Wouldn't they be on the opposite side of draw then

We've got a young and most promising squad in recent years. There's a sense of optimism around them. Manager is meh though.

This will be an interesting one - I watched the Pulesic injury happen (streaming on iPad with the volume turned down whilst watching the England game) and I swear he went off with legs like jelly looking like he'd been hit with a truck then 10 minutes later he's back on - WTF ??
I'm a Netherlands fan for this one :)

Yesterday after the match he was interviewed for German TV and he answered in German. First I was a bit astonished about it and thought that the name "Berhalter" sounds a bit German so maybe he has some german roots. But then I remembered that he once played for East German club Energie Cottbus even in the Bundesliga1/2 (2002-2006) and later played also for 1860 Munich.

    :eeek I'm shocked, Tracy

If Argentina get 2nd in group they're not meeting until finals

    Played for Palace as well.

I was at his debut, a 1-0 defeat away at Barnsley on a freezing Tuesday night. We were so bad Simon Jordan refunded every fan who made the trip

I'd normally be supporting the Dutch in this one, but sadly Mr Verstappen's* fans in F1 have steered me towards the USA . . . :shrug

Not sure about this one. I would usually bank on USA set pieces to get the job done, but we've been crap at them. Pulisic not at 100% is worrying as well as I have no faith in any of the forwards outside of him and Reyna. Hoping Aaronson and Reyna get more minutes here. 1 goal may be all the Dutch need to beat us, really, so I'm hoping we can catch them on the counter and score ourselves.

I'm also not sure if Carter-Vickers or Zimmerman is a better partner for Ream. Both have been caught with their pants down a couple of times already.

Real test for Berhalter. I'm still nowhere close to being a believer, but if he gets a result here, maybe that changes.

This is actually the type of team that would be perfect for Jesse Marsch.

Pulisic's injury last night won't help your lot but the kitchen sink from the start protocol might :shrug
