First start for Bayindir. Rashford out on disciplinary issues again, Antony back in - not sure which I'm more annoyed by.

I know a couple of Newport fans who are obviously well up for this, they'll be in there so let's hope we can spoil their day.

Why can't United wear the red shirt today?

Pretty sure Antony was offside for our goal but it's funny how having wingers on their proper sides can get some production from them.

Indeed. It's almost as if we haven't played for 2 weeks.

So all your first team have to start, even though you have 2 league games this week?

Games being played at a rugby ground ffs. Manager hanging his hat on games like this is a bad sign...

Unlucky that the shot caught a deflection, but we should be a few more goals ahead. Poor in the final third again

garnacho needs to get his head up when he gets into the final third and stop being so selfish. doesn't help that ten hag brings in hojlund, but still plays inverted wingers who can't cross their t's, let alone a ball. antony, in particular, is just not gonna be it and i hope ten hag realizes it this summer.

it's newport, yes, but it's more important that some of our players returning from injury get a few more match minutes in their legs. we really should have a few more goals, though. final ball isn't great.

Garnacho regularly seems to always fancy himself for the shot but usually fluffs it. Needs to cut that out his game unless he plans on becoming a killer finishing wise. His general play is great.

Should have more than 2 in the back of the net, we went ahead early but feels like the complacency has crept in. I expect Newport to pull another back early in the half, and at 2-2 who knows.

Why do United not have players back? You're 2-1 up lads.

They'll still win but **** me what an indication of how shite this team is under this manager. What the **** did you discuss at half time??? First eleven out there and cannot even hold a 2 goal lead against a side a bad run away from non-league football.

As for Newport County they will have to fancy a replay surely? Huge payday.
