China is just plain frightening. Although we had no direct problems that got out of hand when we were there a couple of years ago, it's the most oppressed and intimidating place that I've travelled, especially in the less developed north and west - onto the Tibetan Plateau and the regions where the hierarchy is nervous about keeping control. Yeah, my mother who needed emergency back surgery could only have it done at the nearest capable hospital about 2 hours drive away. They said they could do a helicopter ambulance, but it cost around $30K, so she ended up having to have my sister drive her the 2 hours.

Licence fee decriminalisation being considered Imagine this will be discussed a lot as the years go by. But views? tbh I am not wholly against this idea, I do not think it should be a criminal offence at all... I do however see where the policy eventually leads and that is shakier ground.
Disagree 100%. Either the fee is compulsory or it isn't, if it is then enforce it if it isn't then scrap it.
Force The BBC to go pay to view like Amazon Prime and Netflix then they would have to up their game instead of the dross they make now, there's only 3 shows i watch on there now - Peaky Blinders,Luther and Line Of Duty.
It is strange to me that you need a license to watch iPlayer online. How does that work if you are watching in another household, on the train, in a coffee shop etc? iPlayer should probably be a subscription service.
