Conte has officially left now, and it appears that sarri will be taking over. How long will he last? Until Christmas? No man is above the club, and my view is that genuine fans should stay away from the ground and club until abramovic has left. With any luck, he'll have his assets frozen anyway. Views?

Chelsea FC deserve an owner who will invest adequately and who will not undermine world class managers by backing disruptive players.

My advice to Antonio Conte: If necessary, sue abramovic for your full £9 million salary!

And what would happen if Roman Abramovich did leave...might be a bit messy.

Shame for Conte but the FA Cup win masked a lot of issues it seems.

What on Earth are you on about? Why would we try and force Abramovich out? He’s the best owner in the league.

I feel very lucky to have him.

If Roman left I’d imagine another billionaire would buy us. Not sure why you think it could be messy.

You don't think RA had adequately invested in Chelsea?

Abramovic like Mourhino will always be a big part of Chelsea's history as Mathew Harding is, but things change, and the club has to move on to stay successful. Abramovic has to go. Similar situation to when Thaksin Shinawatra was owner of Man City and had to sell to Mansour. There are plenty of potential owners out there, and the club needs a new stadium along with proper investment in new players. Jim Ratcliffe would be good.. and could easily afford the investment.

As I said to a mate of mine who is a Chelsea man "How long will he last?" he just shrugged and said "I don't care as long as we win Trophies, Abramovic might be a b*****d of an owner but at least in his time we have won domestic Cups and the UEFA Cup despite chopping and changing managers, I prefer him than a certain Ken Bates when he was in charge".

Abramovic will always be a big part of Chelsea's history, but let's face facts re' recent years. Twice now in three years the club have failed to qualify for the CL, and let's be honest, as agreed by most Chelsea fans, Conte is an outstanding manager and better than Morhino. To win the PL and FA cup against clubs who are now investing much more than Chelsea is practically a miracle.

Now sarri wants to play 'entertaining football'?! It took Pep two years to get the squad he wanted to do that, and that with an owner who gave him free reign and £300 million. Sarri has what? Big players leaving, a club where the players and not the manager are in charge (rumoured now that luiz is the new costa there) and a much lower transfer budget than the Manchester clubs. He stands zero chance.

The facts. Chelsea sadly stand no chance this season, and will struggle to stay in the top half of the table. Sarri will be gone by Christmas as many players down tools, or just get too confused by the number of changes abramovic demands. It's like having a spoilt child in charge. Who's he going to put in charge of transfers this season? His secretary? Maybe he'll go for his chauffeur, and let him have a go. Let's face facts, abramovic is taking the p**s now.

It was the same when Mourhino was on his last legs. Some people were saying, but look at his record. As with boxing, you are only as good as your last fight, and abramovic lost his legs a long time ago now. Bring in Jim Ratcliffe!

    5/8/18. Chelsea 0 v Man City 2

Not being cynical here, but it's inevitable, Sarri will be gone by Christmas. Alonso is one of the best attacking defenders in the world, so Sarri plays him deeper?! No holding midfielder, and relying on two players up front, Morata and Pedro who are clearly not cut out any more for the PL.

Bring back Conte, and build for the future. I'm sure I'm speaking for most Chelsea fans there..

Sure you will look more dangerous when Hazard returns and maybe buy another striker ?

Hazard, Kante, and hopefully Courtois. I hope Batshuayi gets more of a chance because I think he could be special and can at least provide another option. Other than Azpilicueta, I’m not in love with any of the other defenders. Midfield is the biggest weakness and another attacking winger would be helpful, but it might just seem like we are waiting to see how the current squad works until January. Ramsey is a player we’ve been linked to a lot and I think we should really pursue him before the window closes

Sarri plays a back 4 so of course Alonso won't get forward as much as when he was a wing back. Jorginho as the deepest midfielder worked well for Sarri at Napoli but he needs players like Kante (Allan was in this role in Napoli) back.
Well there you go then, he needs time to get the players right for this system. Not written off so early, on the basis of a pre season friendly without a lot of his top players! I think like with Pep you'll see the main strides in the 2nd season.

Think our biggest issue is our attack. Haven't scored more than one goal since April.

Midfield we just need an AMF. As we already have two elite players in Kante and Jorginho.

Defence worries me, but still think what we have currently are good enough if managed properly.

Yahoo is now part of Oath

Great news, and new owners will allow the club to kick on and challenge City. That new stadium is a must.

Still not convinced by Sarri. Kante playing a Lampard role? So his role for France when they won the world cup was out of position?! And Morata who couldn't even get in the Spain squad to go to the world cup is a better pick than Giroud who played out of his skin and won a winners medal?!

Yes, Conte was a disciplinarian, and Luiz with his mad capers and lack of discipline didn't like him, but discipline and working hard is how you win trophies, not by playing stupid formations. The manager has to be in charge, not the players. Bring back Conte!

I am lad, discipline is a must, and Conte was right..

I honestly can't see it working for Sarri, but I agree give him a chance. Conte was right though. To play City football you need very fast wing backs. Walker and Mendy over Zappacosta and Alonso. Also, let's be honest, would Pedro get in the City first team?

One thing I think Conte could have done better with though, is getting the team to pass quicker. Don't know what happened there.

Sarri will start well, but reality will bite later in the season, and I can see a string of very bad results..

The expectation was it would be a slow start before getting better. The team is playing well and while it will take a while to fully get there, I’m excited about what the end product will be. Sarri ball is gonna be fun, much more so than we’ve had.

Christmas, and sarri has lasted so far. Some entertaining football at the start of the season, but more up and down recently.

I can't see sarri lasting to be honest, and I still think that Conte was the right man to keep and invest in. Not taking a turn to negative street here, just being honest. A new striker is a must in the new year.

Does anyone else wonder why Kovatic is an automatic starter? He's not a bad player, but I think that variety is the key to success, and sarrri looks in a rut playing the same team all the time. That will be his undoing. Barkley and Loftus Cheek as starters every now and then works for me.
