Perfectly readable but that's the least I expect from such a hyped book. But it was pretty disappointing stuff. A Mills and Boon romance novel with knobs on. Really can't understand the popularity of this book. It was so utterly forgettable. And the two main characters were far from normal (especially the boy, Connell, who was a total fairy tale). If dopey teen romance is your thing, you might like it but otherwise.... no!
Fair play. I think your description of a Mills & Boon with knobs on fairly accurately describes the TV show too.
