Question for you @Steve1956 @BFC_Michael i've booked up my train and got my match ticket for the Saints Burnley game in a couple of weeks but only just found out there's a northern rail strike that day.

Question is how much will it effect me?

I have a virgin train from London to Preston (gets into Preston at 11:38am) and a train from there to Burnley Manchester Road (11:47), and my return is 20:05 from Preston to London, with a Northern train booked at 19:40 to get me from Burnley Manchester Road.

Looking at the outbound against the strikes it seems there might be trains running, but the return looks like bus replacement?

    Is this right?

And if it is would a taxi be quicker? And how much do you reckon it'd cost?

    Cheers
