Who do you think will potentially shine in the premier league.

Personally, I reckon Webber, Kabba, Ifill, Tonge, Bromby, Armstrong and Jags could all do us a fantastic job next season. I'm a little worried about the defence though. I've always been a staunch backer of Morgan, but his lack of control and assuredness on the ball concerns me.

Add Paddy Kenny to that list.

I think that we are weakest in defence & definitely need some new blood. Not so sure about Bromby in fact all our defenders have a weak part of their game that is gonna be exploited time & again by the Premiership's star players. I only hope this is the main area that Warnock concentrates on when bringing in new players.

What about up top? While not letting in goals is of course, a fundamental, it's ultimately what you do up the other end that will win you games.

I'm not overly sure but doesn't your strike force comprise of Neil Shipperly, Geoff Horsefield, Ade Akinbiyi, Steve Kabba and Danny Webber? If so, the first three are seemingly nothing more than journeymen, Kabba blows hot and cold while Webber has never appeared to be a particularly profilic goalscorer to me?

I think Kenny will do well. Whilst I think he's a cock, he is a very assured goalkeeper. I always liked Ifill at Millwall but again, seemed to be very inconsistent. Don't know a great deal about Armstrong or Bromby. Jagielka should fit in fine - what position will he play? Really, these youngish players should be looking at the Premiership as their chance to show just how good they are and what they can do. No motivation should really be needed.

Got it in one with the strikeforce Chazza. We do know that surprise surprise Warnock is looking to bring in strikers. Lots of rumours as to be expected. Again we're linked with Jerome, also been paper talk about Heskey & Forsell but it's just a guessing game at the moment. Warnock has stated that he's got players in mind but is being very cagey as expected. It's just a case of wait & see.

As for the current strikers we'll start with Horsefield. Gawd knows what's happening with him. Nobody knows whether he'll be with us come the start of the season. May well be used in a part-exchange deal. Personally I hope he gets shut.

Shipperley ~ Warnock was roundly derided when he signed him start of this season but he's been brilliant. Many expected him to be a bit part player coming off the bench last 10 that sort of thing but he's started majority of games & scored some great goals too. I think we'll keep him & use him off the bench. Can't really see him keeping his starting berth but useful to have around.

Akinbiyi ~ Our record signing (though that may change). Got a feeling that he'll be Warnock's preferred starting choice. Had his critics throughout his career but is definitely a player with something to prove. Warnock is very good at getting the best from misfits so fingers crossed that will be the case with Akinbiyi. This is gonna be a big season for Ade, he'll either prove a lot a poeople wrong or confirm what they think about him.

Webber ~ Got no concerns about him whatsoever. I think he will shine next season. I prefer him over Kabba as I think he's more of a team player & more creative & skillful. More likely to create something from nothing.

Kabba ~ Like you say does blow hot & cold plus has a bad attitude. Gives the impression of being a bit of a ten-bob-big-time-charlie blaming everybody but himself when things aren't going his way. He drops his head, starts moaning, raises his arms in exasparation & generally looks like he couldn't give a toss. Plus he falls over far too easily, & it doesn't look realistic, it's obvious he's simulating. However when he's blowing hot & on top of his game he's great. Saying that though I wouldn't be too sorry to see him leave.

As with everything at this stage we don't know who's coming in all we know is that we will see new strikers at The Lane. Once they are here then we can start speculating on potential pairings etc.

Jagielka will Shine next Season and show that he is definentley a Premiership player!
Tonge will play alongside Jagz and will also shine, Jagz and Tongey are both only Young players but have been around a long time but have the determination to do well!
Armstrong is also a Young Lad and is a really good player! he's got a great first touch, great passer of the ball, can put his foot in, dribble with the ball and isn't afraid of having a shot...
Paddy Kenny... Well, This man for me was Warnock's best signing, what a keeper he will do fantastic in the top flight!
Danny Webber has electrifying pace and will thrive on playing in the Prem next Year!
Steven Kabba I hope will leave... He's only interested when he wants to be! but if he does stay he may be alright cuz' he's playing in the Prem
Shipperly isn't good enough for the Premiership but has been fantastic this Season so I hope we keep him.
Akinbiyi has a point to prove as Escafeld said so i think he will be fantastic next year and is really hard working!
Horsefield can f**k off to back to West Brom or go to Leeds cuz' thats where he wanted to be, he didn't look interested when I saw him play at The Lane.
Ifill will be or8 but is very inconcistent!
David Unsworth has been fantastic this Season and is a fantastic passer of the ball with plenty of Premiership experience
Chris Morgan will do nothing not a good Defender wont be able to hack it in the Premiership sell him and make Jagz Captain.
Bromby will shine and is young!
Kozluk... I have never really rated him as a player. it was funny wen he got the infaltable ball on the last game of the season and took a throw-in with it though.
Derek Geary I would keep but wouldn't be a first team regular!
Nick Montgomery is really hard-working had a great Season playing with Jagz in the middle of the park would rotate him, Jagz and Tongey about. I think Monty will do alright in the Prem!
Alan Quinn... Nearly forgot about him becuase he didn't play towards the end of the Season but is another player who I think will Shine.
Garry Flitcroft, Only saw him play one match this season and that was Coventry away and he was shocking, keep him but wouldn't play him much just back-up.
Keith Gillespie Im sure he only signed a one Year Contract? if he did i'd like him to stay a good player with Premiership experience!
Chris Lucketti, played against Leeds and looked very solid may struggle in the top flight but we will wait and see!
I think I've made a Comment on every member of the squad there!

I would like to see us sign Forsell as he has been linked with us and is a good player.
I Don't want Heskey he is useless and have never rated him! heard rumours about him coming aswell...
I think we need to strengthen our Defence though that is our main priority!

Well, Heskey will somehow get premiership football, so you just have to pray it's not with you.

Let me get this right. You don't like the ship?!!!!!:eek

Free signing, better than andy gray, 10 (I think) goals in promotion season, and already a bit of a cult figure at the lane despite only having been here for one season. What is there to dislike about shipps?

I think he was meaning talent wise, but I think he is talking rubbish really as they are incomparable really, as Neil Shipperley can actually score goals.

I Didn't mean to say it like that, looking at the post now it does look as if i dislike Shipps as a player but i dont!
Shipperly's a legend in my eyes but i just dont think he'll be very good in the Big League although i'd like him to prove me wrong!

He might be able to score goals in Scotland, but to be honest my Nan would look good in the SPL.

I think Unsworth will get arse-raped in the Premiership now.

Who partners Morgan in defence? Please tell me Craig Short has retired? I see Lucketti was signed for a fair amount for one so old. Seemed a strange move as again, he doesn't seem like he'll have what it takes but then again, I thought the same of Jackson and Henchoz at Wigan who both have coped pretty well.
