I hold the door for anyone and expect the same from anyone As far as the working thing goes, I would never expect to be kept. I’ve worked since I was 16 and have never relied on anyone.
Holding a door open for anyone is simply good manners and acceptable behaviour in any society - it has nothing to do with chivalry As for the rest of it you're showing signs of being worryingly out of touch with societal norms and displaying worryingly controlling behaviours. Protecting myself is my responsibility I provide for myself I make my own choices Nobody else has responsibility or control in providing any of these things for me and I would actively discourage anyone I knew from being involved with a person who believed that they did.
