Totally agree with him said the same things about him as the season panned out. Got to be honest when i seen we'd signed him on a free from a side in the same league i had my doubts but hes a real team player and grafts as hard as anybody and scored some important goals for us.
Longer contract and better pay as reward:thumb

Arfield was brilliant last season, the idealist in me would like to see the team that took us up play in the prem but I feel Scott may be a player whoes place is under threat

Arfield was one of the best players for us last season, No way would Dyche kick him out of the team.

Think they will all be given a fair chance next season with maybe the exception of Duff, who may I add had a fantastic season but think the Premier league is just a step up to big for him now.

Arfield is a proper team player as well. I hope he gets a chance because he'll work his bollocks off for the side

Arfield was fantastic last season. When we first signed him, like most Burnley fans I was very underwhelmed and thought he would amount to nothing, but he's just about proved everyone wrong. Loves to run at people, always gets stuck in gives 100% every time he puts on the shirt. I'd love him to have a crack at the Premiership but I've got a feeling he'll be used more as an impact substitute next season.

I think Arfield is as likely to start than everybody else in the midfield . for one hes more adaptable than the rest of the midfield players we currently have and got thst little bit extra ability wise . We'll see how it works out but id imagine most of the players who finished last season will get there chance at some point.

Excellent to see, didn't work out here at all for him but then again he was played in many positions. Met Scotty a few times out in Town and he is a top, top guy.

I bet you was  errrrrrm poor really, 1st touch is diabolical. We are looking to strengthen further this year and achieve a top 10 finish so the likes of him and Stead will be offloaded hopefully. According to our chairman he wants to be the number 1, but there's no way he will get ahead of Vaughan, Wells, Lolley, Ward and a new ST coming in.

I think that was the case over here too, He wanted to be ahead of Ings/Vokes and Dyche couldn't promise him that. He really isn't the player he was in 2009, He's best off going down to league 1 to try and rebuild his career instead of demanding one. Good luck next season btw.

Fully agree. Cheers mate, I honestly think if Vaughan stays fit we will suprise a few this year, him and Wells could be lethal! Hope you guys make a good fight of it next year!

Everyone did, he just has time for fans. Just proves how some players need to move on to fulfill their potential, in all honestly, he was poor when he played for us. I was happy when he moved on, but he's proved us all wrong and deserves his crack at the prem.

Never met the lad but on the interview i seen of him off Claret player at the end of the season when we beat Wigan at home to confirm promotion he seemed a genuine down to earth lad still couldn't believe his luck either that he was without a club at start of the season and ended up in the premiership

I honestly had you down as the dark horse last year, You beat us easily when i went to the John Smith and i've had a high opinion since. Wells could be a brilliant player next season and i'll keep an eye out for him. Cheers mate, Hopefully we make a better effort than last time

they didn't beat us easily i was at the game as well. first half they pissed all over us and if the main striker had his shooting boots would have been all over at HT. Im not saying they didn't deserve to win but once Ings pulled that goal back in front of the away fans i thought they were hanging on

I was at the game too, we made a go for it late at the end and Vokes got a goal ruled out. But they dominated the game for 60-70 minutes and so easily beat us.

Didn't go to be honest. 1st half of the season we were a dream to watch, 2nd half was unacceptable. DH has stuck by MR but has told him to get rid of his backroom staff (his assistant is his best mate) and we now have fresh faces in which I think was definatley needed. Just see who we sign now, need to get Clayton on a new contract 1st.....keep your mits off!!

yeah id take him he was one of the best midfielders i seen against us last season. Would of been interesting to see him up against Marney at your place we missed him big time that game
