I have an IPhone XR. I don't particularly want the IPhone 12. I am on EE network and I can either stay as I am, upgrade or go SIM only. They are offering SIM only for £25.00 a month, unlimited everything, including data.

I use some data, but use Wifi at home.

Have any of you gone for SIM only? Have you changed networks? I have been looking at Sky and their offers are good, but not sure if you need to change your number and whether their coverage is good. EE's coverage is great.

Any info you can throw at me would be much appreciated. Thank you :)

I’m on a sim only deal with GiffGaff, not tied in to a contract so can change my ‘goody bag’ as often as I want. Currently get 80GB of data and unlimited everything else for £20 a month.

Can’t imagine a scenario where I’d need more than 80GB so it’s extensively unlimited. Can’t imagine changing networks any time soon.

We've been SIM only for a few years now, We upgrade our phones when we are ready to and buy the ones we want directly from Apple sometimes on a plan, sometimes just buy one :)

Thank you all. I will have a look. Was just going to stay with EE, but looks like there are better deals to be had :)

You can take your current number with you to any network you choose.

I've gone for sim only because I don't see the need to upgrade a phone that's works perfectly for what I need. Cheaper and get 5 times the data I did before.

I'm on GiffGaff as is my wife and several people I know. It's really easy to switch and take your number with you. I pay £10 a month for unlimited calls and texts and 9gb of data. Since I'm barely leaving the house I hardly use any data whatsoever. If I wanted to increase or decrease the level of data it's incredibly easy. There's no contract - it's a rolling monthly basis, cancel any time.

So - similar situation to the thread starter. You can pay as little as £6 per month for unlimited calls and texts but that only gets you 500mb data. Check out the plans, but like me, I think you'd struggle to use anywhere close to the 9gb for a tenner a month right now.

Yes mate. Always been pretty straightforward whenever I’ve had to sort it.

    Can’t wait xo

I think it's got to be the 100GB of data.

I pay £20 a Month. I paid £100 for the phone S20 plus. I was upgrading the SIM only and was going to buy the phone outright from Samsung because it works out cheaper over 24 Months. EE offered me the above but changed the length to 36 Months and can't upgrade until the Month before the end of term.
