Oh oh look at me, I teach deprived kids, I am so much more important than a peasant like you. Teaching a bunch of kids in school is very very very different to teaching a bunch of kids in scouts. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I'm also a cub leader. I deal with the national curriculum you don't, find a way to deal with things more than come onto forums in a hope of bullying people and gathering up support. And leave the tough topics to those who care.
Shall we stick to topic or is this going sideways.... ? You've been here longer than me so you should know unless this trolling/bullying the new person by ganging up with the soggy biscuit crew rocks your boat. The guy made an immature ill judged comment, and I asked him why he would say such a thing, and I got an immature answer back. Que witty immature retort 1.... 2.... 3.....
Why would I deal with your national curriculum? I am not in Britain. Where was I bullying? I merely posted that I found it highly difficult to believe that an adult teacher would discuss sexual issues with an underage student. From a child safeguarding point of view I find this highly unprofessional, dangerous, and, in my opinion, leaving you open to accusations. I was the main leader of 80 boys between the ages of 12 and 17, as well as a team of leaders. All of us leaders under the age of 30. It was on me to make sure that all safeguarding guidelines were followed. You came in being incredibly dismissive of me and my child safeguarding issues with scouting, I'm not 100% sure but I would argue that the child safeguarding in scouting is more strict than with schooling due to the historical issues of inappropriate activity in scouting. If anyone was bullying here I think it was you. How f*cking dare you insinuate that I do not care about these tough topics.
To a class as part of sex ed yes. The phrasing of the original comment insinuated that Loueez had personal discussions with students over their sexuality. Giving them the comfort and freedom to share in a open space indicates that this is not a discussion that is part of the classroom.
No, in general. We're expected to include British values into our teaching. Being from Ireland, I can understand why you don't necessarily know that. I don't know your curriculum. We do promote our values though.
Hun, can we just straighten something out here? I was laughing at his response because it was funny and he was being serious too. In no way was I bullying you. I don't bully women, I love women. I know how it felt to be bullied so wouldn't resort to it. Was it really that bad of a comment to make? I personally don't think it was. I genuinely don't believe it deserved such a reaction. At the same time I'm not surprised at your reaction because we do live in a World where everything is offensive. I'd like to point out that is not my opinion of you and I'm sure you don't get offended by everything.
Would you call anyone else on here hun? I don't find in any shape or form anything funny about what is a young man making a life decision. If this was a 'joke' thread then I would stand corrected but I merely pointed out the fact a crass comment was made by an immature person and I wanted that corrected. And then the little dick warrior brigade jumped in to show me how immature they can be over a serious subject and thread. It snowballed on me because I held my ground based on that one shite comment and everyone wanted to try and put me down because I wanted a mature discussion.
But she hasn't has she, has always been about making a mature thread stay a mature thread, nothing more. The little dick brigade made it about an individual. Now, are you a big boy or are you one of the gang?
I don't teach sex ed, but as a proffessional teacher my job isn't all about education but also as a counsellor and manager. Much of my job is teaching and researching for lessons but some is dealing with problems and some very deep and searching problems, I have to deal with a lot. I write everything down and depending on the pattern we use a correlation model to see if there're any traits in behaviour and any cases of abuse we have to complete a concern report and make the judgment if we need to take further action. It sadly becomes a discussion as a teacher is sometimes the only point of contact, not everyone can afford the subs to be a scout!!! But education is free.
Sorry, you just don't have the same training or experience that I have, if you wish to open a thread and discuss this in length then feel free because there isn't enough time in the day for me to explain everything.
And your point before you get popped on ignore? I advise you look back through the thread and see where you wade in like Tom Cruise thinking he would push the little girl out of the way. but crashed and burnt.
