Nice won for Sporting in Cup last night with 92nd minute equaliser & penalty shootout win.

With the turmoil at Sporting at the end of last season I'm surprised they've done so well this season with some of the big name departures , ok League form could be stronger but still in the mix with 3 & bit months of the season remaining.

Honestly I think even the most optimistic sporting fan would have snapped your hand off to be doing as we currently are in the league and to have some silverware to our name at this stage

What a game by Benfica! João Félix is a god. Braga with an important win keeping an open eye for the Lisbon derby.

I don't know what Illori will bring to the table in Sporting but I prefer him much more than having Marcelo or André Pinto as backups.

Acuña is leaving for Zenit.. I'd say Sporting needs a left full back right now, Jefferson is not a starter material.

Jackson Martinez may be close to a FC Porto return on loan from Portimonense.

A feast of European Football on Freesport Sky Channel 422 today.

Feyenoord losing to Excelsior in the Rotterdam Derby , then PSV's romp over 10 man Fortuna Sittard.

Tonight I have the Lisbon Derby to look forward to ( come on Sporting ) though the last 4 matches have ended in draws , three 1-1 & one 0-0 & I expect the same tonight.

After sees Porto looking to avenge the 3-2 defeat on home soil to Guimaraes earlier in the season , a win could see them go 6 points clear of Braga with a win.

The Rotterdam derby was some game earlier on. Good to see RVP still being that potent finisher but the way Excelsior came back was unreal. Not a bad first touch from the lad who came off the bench to score the winning goal either

Hoping to be back home to catch the Lisbon derby tonight

Oh yeah, Feyenoord lost :/ After bashing Ajax they lose to Excelsior.

I think today it's gonna be a draw in Lisbon and Porto wins by one goal.

Well that was a cracking game.

Benfica seem to turn up against their top 4 rivals , tonight's 4-2 win & the 6-2 romp over Braga spring to mind.

Thought V.A.R. was utilised quite well , still a bit rubbish in England & unfair in our FA Cup where it's only used in Premier League grounds.

Hope Guimaraes upset Porto with a home win to keep the League exciting.

What a game from Benfica! Yeah the VAR was top notch today, apart from the red card, i can't agree with that, although it is a penalty, no doubt.

I think Sporting needs to spice up the back 4, only Coates is a player for Sporting's dimension. Mathieu was a big loss today.

Thought the red was warranted as Goalkeeper grabbed Bosts leg whilst going through.

Sporting's defense is awful , naive & lacking in pace , yet they try & play a high line which is asking for trouble.

Always going to be a transition season for Sporting this season , the League maybe out of touch & it looks like Europa for next season but still in with a shout of 2 cups ,to win 1 would be seen as a good return.

Keizer was clearly appointed with a long term plan in view, which is why as frustrating as the last few league games have been.. we would’ve been much worse off sticking with Peseiro.

All hopes lie with Europa and the cups this season.

However, although it’s good to look at the positive side of things.. I feel like I’m saying that the same things for the last 10 years!

Another derby today but there are no equal games. Sporting is going to do an all-in in the cups so I wouldn't be surprised to see a return win for the lions. Europa League, not a chance, for any of us :/

Another win. Sporting with a better attitude. Benfica was childish after the 2-0, it coul've costed them a 2 goal lead.

Didn't see the game , Benfica seem to have good record against their main rivals the last few months.

Well if we count Belenenses, it's still a Lisbon derby... 2 losses

    Benfica won 10-0 against Madeira!

    Is that a record?
