What engine is it? I'm looking at several 1.9Tdi 3 door Astras.

Does anyone know how much my insurance could possibly go down if I come out of this year with a full years no-claim bonus? It's currently costing a whopping £2600 at the moment to insure my Pug! I am the only driver though.

Also, what sized engine car could I be looking at for insurance under, say, £1800 after my years no-claims?

I'd expect it to come down by about 10%, but then there'll be an annual price increase so it'll probably stay about the same. :coat

The cost of insurance will go up quite sharply, considering that January and February were record breaking months in terms of claims, so as Stret said the discount you would expect to see for being that year older with no claims will probably be offset by this price increase.

I'm not looking forward to my renewal in January next year, considering this claim I've just gone through came out at £2,685

Mine's a 1.6 petrol. I know a couple of people who have Diesels and they're well impressed with them, but the Diesels I saw were a little out of my price range.

I have a 1.8i 16v petrol at the moment, but the new petrol cars are slower which is why I'm (still) looking at 1.9TDi's.
