So I've just been pulled over for driving like a prat (40dd in a 30, I know not cool). And I had my licence on me, but not my MOT documents, as I didn't realise I needed them in the car, or my insurance documents as my new ones haven't arrived yet as I only renewed about a week ago. I don't have any points, and he didn't give me a ticket on site, so am I in the clear and just gotten a warning, or am I going to get a police summons or Points and a fine?
The police can check your MOT and insurance electronically, so there was no need to give you a ticket to produce them since you had your licence with you. They now have 14 days to send you a Notice of Intended Prosecution, if you don't recieve one in that time you aren't getting one, and if you get one after that period it will be invalid. You'll just have to wait and see, but I reckon you'll be lucky to get away with it.
It is already 9 days since you were pulled over, if you have not received anything yet i think you are safe.
