Jimmy, you cannot keep painting the entire club & its supporters guilty of the past. Yours Truly isnt a Celtic supporter & is not claiming of hushing up that Celtic is clear of the past. Stein et al erred in covering up the elite young footballers' abuse. His passion for the club is obvious but badly misguided & we can all learn something from it. This is not just about Celtic, or 'Old Firm', or just football. What's different to all the organisations that have a cloud over them for institutionalised child sexual abuse where such abuse was covered up, a la the various church denominations: catholic, protestant, religious cults, ... ? Also, other sporting codes in other countries have also suffered such allegations pointed at their officials: both rugby's, olympic sports, gymnastics, swimming, ... where do we stop?
I would agree with you in much of what you say mate. The subject matter is not for point scoring BUT the difference in what happened at that club is due to a cover up of the perpetrators involved. Who were rightly dismissed for their actions but that club did not call the police , indeed that club rehired some of the people involved who were later found guilty of the hideous crimes against children.
