would probably agree with that bar son. i'd have son higher. In my regard any midfielders who can get near 20 goals a season are gold dust. Gerrard & Lampard did it at their pomp. can't think of too many others.
kane is our talisman and always our top scorer so he's an easy pick as No' 1. as you say anyone near that top tier could be interchangeable.

Edwards over Sissoko. love it!

This is an impossible task, but as I have a few minutes to kill I'll do with the below.

Scrap that, too much thinking required, I'll just agree with the previous list that was posted.

    Bumping this one again.

    1. Kane
    2. Eriksen
    3. Lloris
    4. Vertonghen
    5. Alderweireld
    6. Alli
    7. Davies
    8. Dier
    9. Sanchez
    10. Trippier
    11. Son
    12. Aurier
    13. Winks
    14. Dembele
    15. Wanyama
    16. Rose
    17. Llorente
    18. Sissoko
    19. Lamela
    20. Vorm

Top 5 was pretty easy, next 5-6 are based on this season.
Midfield is very hard with Wanyama being out. I feel like Dembele-Sissoko doesn't really work, Winks on the other hand has been amazing in the CL but I'm not sure what our best midfield duo is. I guess it depends on the game, while Sissoko has improved this season I still rate him lower than Winks, Dembele, Wanyama and Dier and with the injuries of Dembele and Wanyama I still want to see more of Dembele-Winks, Winks-Wanyama to compare. Alli also looked good in midfield against Liverpool and Eriksen can also play there if Son, Alli and Kane start.
Davies and Trippier have looked great but I do expect Aurier and Rose to be first choice when fully intergrated again.
Llorente hasn't really looked like a goal threat but other than missing the sitter against Dortmund his link up play has looked great.
Looking forward to seeing Lamela again, hope he'll reach the same level again because against teams sitting deep we often need another creative outlet next to Eriksen and he's better than Son and Alli at passing and dribbling in limited space.
Disappointed about not seeing N'koudou because he looked good in preseason but I guess we don't really need a winger with our wing backs playing so far up.

Anyways, it's great to see us having this kind of squad depth and having so many players compete for places.

If we're ranking purely on ability I'd have to have Rose right up there. He's world-class in my opinion although needs to get fully fit to get back to where he was before injury, we've seen glimpses of it in the Champions League though.

I think Davies is important for us though as I fully expect Rose to go next summer.

I'd struggle to rank the whole squad but your order is probably pretty close. I'd probably swap Vertonghen and Lloris though as I think the former is constantly getting better and even before injury has probably surpassed Toby's performances.

Little to split Eriksen and Kane currently either. I could put either at number 1, bias would probably agree with you with HK at number one though. Plus the latter is probably one of the best in his position whereas Eriksen has far more competition in that respect.

Fully agree, Rose last year was probably a bit better than Davies this year.
Very hard to split Lloris, Vertonghen and Alderweireld but agree with Vertonghen performing better for a good while now, however I feel Alderweireld is missed more when he's injured.
Same for Eriksen and Kane, Kane is world class and Eriksen very close but Eriksen is more important and harder to replace.

Trippier is a great player IMO and I think he offers a lot more than Aurier going forward.

Aurier infuriates me. I could live with his defensive flaws if he was that good going forward but he's not great in either direction.

Don't particularly rate Trippier either though. Fantastic delivery but the rest of his game isn't great.

Both can do a job but I'm hoping Aurier at least fulfills his potential. Trippier isn't getting any better than he already is imo.

I See your point, but I tend to rate Trippier a bit higher than most. The Real Madrid game really showed how good his game was going forward and I don't think he lacks too much in pure defence either.Time will tell with Aurier, although I don't think he is as good an overall player. We will see though.

I rate Trippier a lot more than I rate Aurier. Trippier's final ball is a bit overrated but when he has one of them games where they all hit the spot every cross is shown on motd. Aurier is a liability. One good game every now and then and an inability to control himself from lunging in when he's in trouble. I would rather see us give Walker-Peters a chance than play him.

Can't be bothered to do the full squad right now (too difficult) but this is probably my top 5 as of now:

    1. Kane (1)
    2. Alderweireld (2)
    3. Eriksen (3)
    4. Vertonghen (7)
    5. Wanyama (9)

Tough call on 5th place, could be anyone of about 6 people, but IMO that is a clear top 4 right now.

Hard to argue with that. The power and workrate. Undroppable imo.

I’m personally really happy to see the fans turn around for him after all the criticism he’s had. Always loved the work-rate, he’s clearly popular at the club and now he’s starting to produce the goods as well.

    Time for post season review.

    1. Kane : Still our best player
    2. Son: Had a better season than Kane but Kane is more influential and everyone around him plays better when he's on his game
    3. Romero: He's going to be immense next season and both defensively and on the ball a joy to watch.
    4. Bentancur/Hojbjerg: Might be controversial and on their own they wouldn't be that high but Hojbjerg game improved so much the moment he started playing next to Bentancur and with Bentancur we finally have a midfielder who comfortable being pressed, fast to turn and can play a forward pass
    5. Kulusevski: Individually he probably had an even better start to his Spurs career and gives us another player other than Kane to play a pass to when we're being pressured.
    6. Lloris: Had a very solid season, still not the best with his feet but feels a lot more comfortable with Dier and Romero around.
    7. Dier: probably our most underrated player, The 4 games he missed due to injury we shipped 9 goals and lost 3 games. Should be starting for England
    8. Davies: Much better in a back 3
    9. Can't really seperate our wingbacks: Doherty had a few amazing games until he got injured, Sessegnon surprisingly good defensively but a bit disappointing going forward, Reguillon probably our best back when fit, Emerson's season pretty good overall, very frustrating player to watch but had some very good games
    10. Moura was our best player under Nuno and felt like he was the only one actually trying but I think he's perfect as sub
    11. Skipp would be higher if it wasn't for his injury, might have a hard time getting in the starting 11 next season with bentancur/hojbjerg there
    12. Sanchez ended the season strong and still a good backup
    13. Bergwijn same as Moura, think there's a good player in there but can't afford to give him enough time to build the confidence he needs
    14. Winks decent squad player and could be a lot better if he wasn't so bad when being pressed, always at risk of losing the ball in dangerous positions which is a shame because technically he's good enough to struggle with that.
    15. Tanganga had a few good games but for now he's not good enough
    16. Joe Rodon not sure, looks like a decent enough player but doesn't play so hard to judge
