Hi, and welcome back. Who are you hoping for as your next manager, and any signings you particularly want in?

Gerrard certainly has got Rangers purring. Could be an interesting one next year.

Thanks Dave, sadly it will probably end up being John Kennedy. I would love to see a bit of ambition from the board like happened with Brendan Rodgers especially with next season's champions going straight into the group stage of the CL but it's doubtful. For new signings again I'd like to see more ambition as Rangers are clearly back with a bang. I've read we will try for Ben Davies who went to Liverpool, apparently Liam Shaw has signed a pre contract. We will need a quality number 9 as Édouard will go to mid table PL team. Julien seems to want to leave alongside Ajer so Davies and at least one more decent quality CB. Frimpong needs replacing at RB. Possibly another LB and at least one CM. Our £5 million goalkeeper needs replacing also probably. A big turnaround needed. The most important thing is doing business early as Rangers will probably throw a few quid at it too.

Tell you what - Christian Benteke and Dwight Gayle are both out of contract at the end of the season. Might not be lighting up the Prem right now but I reckon that pair could score a hatful in the Scottish Prem.

What do you reckon about Celtic not giving Rangers a guard of honour at the weekend?

Benteke is on £120k I think? Not much chance of that I don't think. Gayle I would take but neither are in our "buy young, develop, sell" model. I am ashamed that Celtic are not giving a guard of honour tbh. I believe it stems from Rangers not giving Celtic a guard of honour 2 years ago which is so petty. Perfect chance to be "the bigger men" imo.

True on the wages but i just can't think Benteke would be offered that size money again. Chance for him to win silverware and compete in Europe. Same for Gayle. You need a manager who can sell the dream. Absolutely right though and understand the model of buying young and making a profit.

I do agree actually about being the bigger man with the guard of honour. At very worst it makes it look as if your not bothered and could take the sting out of any rangers chat. Old Firm is the biggest Derby in British football and the needle in it is brilliant, but yes would have liked to see celtic do the guard of honour. Def retaliation for rangers not doing it though.

They would both do well I'm sure if they weren't just here for a wage. We could be doing with a more physical threat(benteke). I wouldn't be averse to offering a lampard for example the job, again dependent on finance. Definitely retaliation as you say, so tinpot it's embarrassing. The old firm is brilliant, same as every game without fans its shit but it will be a big bonus to have them rocking with a full house next season. PS any chance of Abraham on loan? :goodluck
