    I never got to see him play live but everybody can't be wrong when they say he was the greatest striker.

    RIP Jimmy Greaves. An incredible goalscorer.

    It seems apt that Tottenham are at home to Chelsea today - I'm sure the tribute will be wonderful. Also there'll be a minutes applause at West Ham's game vs ourselves today.

    R.I.P A total legend . A bloody good after dinner speaker, pundit as well . Saw him do his "After Dinner Speech " a fair few years back .Very good .

    Gutted, guess we had to lose the greatest striker in English football some time, but it's a sad day. RIP the greatest.:(

    a few footballers sometimes make u wish you were older so u could have actually seen them play or at least play in their prime. this man was one of them. looking at his records he looks insane. both england and club football.
