A very discernible difference in Salah's game against Madrid ,now in any walk of life this wouldn't be considered a bad thing ,but given how disinterested he's looked in most games this season it was a bit of a slap in the face to us paying fans who seen a very different player on Tuesday night than the far less motivated we have witnessed this season ,we seen a Salah who looked ready to fight for every ball ,we seen a Salah willing to run past players ,a Salah throwing in tackles and attesting every decision ,a player not fearful of confrontation or the risk of being injured ?

Where was the player who has done his level best this season to look less than ordinary ,a player that has found himself the wrong side of the ball or a yard off making an interception ,a player that has slowed his gait to the extent the Kop believed they would never again see him sail past defenders again with consummate ease with an explosive burst of pace ?

He was good for 25mins until alaba went off.

He was shocking against Crystal palace though.

2nd worst goalscoring form in his time at Liverpool (behind 19-20)
    Not a good thing

Overpaid? One thing really bothers me about Salah, and it was patently obvious in the Arsenal game, is his weak right foot. Couple of real chances to put the balll away (3-4 at least) with his right and either fluffed it, or tried to stab it with his left. Should’ve beat Arsenal 5 or 6 to 2 with chances we created.

Salah still has 24 goals and 11 assists. His problem is being judged against "mo salah"

it is basically the premier league form thats put him "only" on 24 goals. he has 11 in various cups (one of which is community shield)

32,22,19,22,23, 13 (so far) his prem record for us.

    7 goals in 8 games and he's a 31 goal man.

Its very hard judge salah without looking at what he's done before.

I don't like criticising Salah because what he's done for the team. One of our greatest ever goalscorers. 180 goals in 296 games for Liverpool now. Just to put that into perspective Fowler arguably the most naturally gifted finisher I seen in my lifetime scored 183 in 369 for the club. He's an incredible talent. There's no question his right foot is his weakness you can clearly see he doesn't trust it whatsoever and when a chance comes along that's 100 times easier to net with his right than his left he still opts for favoured foot and often misses. It is just one of those things that we need to take because he's not going to change/improve his right at this stage of his career.

Since i wrote the above on the 14th Salah has moved on to 26 goals and 11 assist for the season, only 4 from 8 to break the 30 mark. and 5 form 8 to be a 20 goal in the league man.

I'd agree with above from dutch. I don't recall rush at his prime so the most natural gifted finisher I've seen is also fowler. Far better than any of the others but a mile and instantly so. (even torres)

salah is salah. He gets a lot of goals and assists. Our next highest scorer is nunez on 15 and he two could break 20 goals for his first season and would probably be pleased.

Both have got a lot of goals in certain games but then we've missed a lot of games were they can't get a sniff as we play in front or a side just defends. I am seeing the same from gakpo.

the difference is fowler could finish no matter what. Our boys seem to need space to play in so any time a side just sits in we struggle cos we miss the target. we want to be running on and hitting not trying to find a yard in a crowded box.
