I think we need a CB first and foremost for when we're playing better sides. A striker is also essential but we're in a position where we are looking to bring someone of quality in who won't play too often as Eddy will always be first pick. The problem we have this window coming up is we don't really need squad fillers and to get automatic starters is going to be very expensive.
We definitely need a striker but i think we also need a top midfielder. Scott Brown was one of only two or three that played well on the 29th but im and McGregor are being asked to do it week in week out. . 60 games a season. They need help.
Scott Sinclair has left our training camp in Dubai to go to Preston. It was time for him to go as he tailed off badly but he made a huge contribution in his time here and will always be welcome back.
He’s been an absolutely fantastic signing that kept contributing even when he wasn’t playing at his best. Worth every penny and a vital part of the Invincible Treble, the Double Treble, and the Treble Treble. It’s a shame he’s fallen out of favour but that’s football, his attitude has been exemplary and I hope he does well at Preston.
Brilliant in the first season and still contributed a lot in terms of goals in the second even although his overall standard of play wasn't great. He started to become very predictable and less effective, but history will see him remembered well and his attitude has always been first class. All the best Scott.
This is the best thing about him. He clearly loved being at the club as well and if or when he does go them I hope it works out for him. Been a brilliant signing for us.
Just seen a stat there. We scored 397 goals during the treble treble. Sinclair was directly involved in 134 of them (goals and assists). That means he was involved in 34% of our goals during the Treble Treble.
Sinclair signs for Preston on a 2.5 year deal. Did brilliantly for us and even in his so called bad season he still got 17 goals. All the best to him and if he can get his form back then Preston have struck gold.
Ismalia Soro a defensive midfielder from the Ivory Coast playing in Israel is apparently all but done. Genk bid £2.5m for him but it seems we have beaten them to him. We've also accepted a bid thought to be around 750k for Lewis Morgan from David Beckhams team Inter Miami in the MLS. A great move for him and us if it goes through.
Seriously? That'll please a few but it makes you wonder exactly what Sinclair did wrong to be behind even him in the pecking order.
I think he had to be given his chance. Time is right for both to go though and i hope he accepts their offer.
Soro looks a really good player going by his YouTube videos but we all know that is only half the story. Hopefully the long term replacement for Brown has been found after Kouassi never worked out although a believe there is a player in there who just needs a run of games, he should be loaned out to an English Championship side.
Any of you in here know anything about Kieran Freeman who plays for Dundee? Apparently we are interested.
So the Polish striker Patryk Kilmala looks to be done and we've met the get out clause of £3.5m. Know nothing about the guy other than he looks quick and strong.
