Following on from @Jason talking about Spurs tickets, thought it would be interesting to see all clubs season ticket prices and details. Wonder if it shows a big N/S divide. Any clubs raising prices after a year of no fans etc? For an adult at Leeds, ours range from £508 - £710 (the ticket i share is slightly less as am a renewer so think mine was c£470). There's been a price freeze on these for about 10 years. Allows you to get priority for an additional home ticket as well as for away games (although most in the Champ were loyalty too). Think we have around 23k of these. If can't get a season ticket, then a membership costs £50 per year which allows you to purchase tickets for home and away (very small amount of these) games. You also get a discount of £5 on 3 matchday tickets. Think theres between 20-25k of these. If you're a member you can also get added to the season ticket waiting list for £10er, this has only come in since we reached the season ticket cap.
£299 is cheapest, about 500 of them I think but can be anywhere in ground , mine is £440, mate pays £800 I think just to side of Pep, then that Tunnel club shite.
Season tickets Probably just as easy for me to quote my post from the other thread which includes our price map. Ours start at £807 (very minimal number of seats) and go all the way up to £2,233. Without doing all of the research I'm certain we're the most expensive in the country and I dare say probably the most expensive in European / world football. The only team I think are comparable on price are Arsenal but their season tickets include so many cup games. @A Gooner can probably confirm how many but I think it's 5 or 6 (not sure how that will work with potentially no European football next season). Our prices are strictly for 19 home league games so my £990 ST works out at £52.11 per game and is one of the 'cheap' season tickets. Memberships If you're not a ST holder then you'll need a membership if you want to go to league games. Cup games (excluding Champions League) often go to general sale so you don't necessarily need a membership to go to a cup game but definitely for a league game (until the new stadium novelty wears off anyway..) Memberships are probably on par with Leeds. I haven't had to buy one for a few years now but I'm sure they're around the £50-70 mark dependent on which membership you buy. Theoretically membership entitles you to buy tickets to home games, plus build 'loyalty' points towards away games and cup games. Realistically the latter are close to worthless now. The price cap on away tickets (£30) means demand for away games never goes beyond ST holders. With 40,000-42,000ish ST holders the allocation for cup games is often not going to reach members either - although I think our last Wembley cup semi final did reach members (partly because people were sick of going to Wembley). Memberships aren't really value for money any more so are a bit of a controversial topic for fans. Unfortunately at the moment demand is so high that I don't see anything changing on memberships or pricing. The new stadium novelty will wear off though, particularly if we're not performing well on the pitch. I don't think our pricing is sustainable but London.. Forgot to add - the more premium membership gives you a place on the season ticket waiting list. We have a huge waiting list but this ran in to the tens of thousands when people were offered one at Wembley. I had friends at 60,000+ on the list getting offered a season ticket so the number doesn't seem to really count for much. Plus points I'm usually moan, moan, moan so for a little balance, let me offer some genuine good points about our ST situation currently. Price freeze - even in a pandemic a price increase wouldn't have surprised me. They saw some sense and froze their ludicrous prices. I was convinced some of the prices were higher than they are in fact. I thought mine was £1,000 plus but I'm just under (if I even renew ) Cup games - @StretfordEnd mentioned they're forced to buy cup games. We got 2 cup games included in our ST at the old stadium. That was scrapped when we moved so we only get 19 league games now but we do at least have a choice of whether we want to buy / go to cup games or not (I usually do). Ticket exchange - We tried this with Stubhub but there was such a backlash to Stubhub that Spurs scrapped it as soon as they could. They then reintroduced a ticket exchange / selling system which means STH's can sell tickets to games they can't / don't want to attend. This runs right up to matchday so is one of the really good things about the ST. If you have a last minute thing you can sell your ticket or alternatively, if you're a member that was unsuccessful when tickets went on initial sale - sometimes you'll find one on the ticket exchange. It means you can potentially buy a ticket on the day of the game so a throwback to fans of older generations who could go last minute. It's pot luck where you're sat if buying one though. As a seller there's no guarantee it sells but with the numerous kick off times now in the football schedule it does allow some flexibility that you can potentially get your money back on a game you can't attend. One time amnesty - Tottenham are also currently offering a one-time "amnesty" that means you can change the name on your STH so if you've had it passed from generation to generation you can update your ST without losing it. Although part of the reason they're offering this is because they're forcing you to commit to an online ID validation process (driving licence or passport photo required). Covid is the excuse of course but I think Spurs will be quite happy to boot out unruly supporters and have their contact / ID on record that they can hand over to criminal prosecutors if they wish to. You can't renew your ST until you've uploaded your identification credentials.
United have 52,000 STs, cheapest £532, dearest £950, that's for just the 19 League games. The ST prices have been frozen for 10 seasons in a row. The Glazer thieves introduced the ACS (Auto Cup Scheme) for new STs in 2006 and then applied it to all STs from 2007, so in effect you have to give them a blank cheque at the start of each season. All home FA Cup and Cash Cup games are automatically deducted from your bank account, and if the club reaches the 1/4 finals the prices are increased and increased again for the semi-final (Cash Cup), and these prices are only announced after the Cup draws have taken place. If anyone is unable or unwilling to attend an FA Cup or Cash Cup game there is no mechanism for selling the ticket on to someone else, so the seat will remain empty. If the club attempt to take payment from your bank and can't because your card has expired they will suspend your ST if it happens twice, and you will only get it back after you've paid for both the matches you missed payment for, even if those matches have already been played. Tl;dr Glazers are thieving bastards. BBC - Manchester - Sport - Fans in ticket row
You pay for 26 matches at Arsenal. 19 league games and 7 cup matches. If the team doesn't manage to fulfill those 7 cup games, you get a rebate. It'a been like that since 2006. With us facing no European football next season, I'm not sure what route they will go down. There are roughly 46,000 season ticket holders. I paid roughly £1250 for the 19/20 season. (I didn't have a full season in 18/19 so I was charged less). That's an average of about £48 a match. So in theory with no European matches next season, the cup quota should go down to maybe 3? So I'm hoping my season ticket will be under £1100 for next year.....but somehow I fail to see that happening Edit: I forgot to mention, you can sell your ticket back to the club if you can't make a certain match.
Indeed it is. Be warned though, liverpool and Everton, along with quite a few other clubs operate an ACS, the difference being it's not compulsory. As I said neither was United's in the beginning, so caveat emptor.
We have option to sign up, I always sign up to fa cup and league cup and then the ones signed up get priority for SF and finals
Brighton have frozen their prices for this season, meaning ST range from £545 through to £770. That doesn’t include any cup games but does cover free travel over quite a large distance. For example if I still had a ST I would be covered for train travel despite living 15 miles from the ground. Travel also includes a lot of busses & there’s 3 or 4 park and ride services if you’re driving down from further away. We’re also letting people change the ownership of a season ticket which is the only time we’ve offered that, and we’re also allowing two people to share a ST for an extra £20.
Our prices have been frozen after relegation (after being frozen upon promotion) at £357 on the Kop, plus a discount refund for the 4 games we missed last season meaning I'll pay £283. Can't argue with that one bit.
£500ish for me in what I believe are the cheap seats. Well worth it at the moment, not so much in other seasons.
Not ST related but good PR for Burnley New Burnley chairman Alan Pace has promised all fans free entry upon the return to stadiums, for their last home game v Liverpool. Leading the way, whereas other owners such as Daniel Levy have imposed £60 ticket charges on Spurs fans to see the final game of the season live. More should take note of this
I’ve just checked and my train fare would be £7.60 for a return, so very simply, I’m saving £144 in travel expenses per season meaning my season ticket cost is effectively £400. I think that’s very reasonable.
Get my renewal information in two weeks. Some rumours going around that it'll be 19+2 instead of the usual 19+7 at Arsenal next season. Any possible participation in the ECL won't be included on the season ticket.
DT guy was kicking off on twitter about his season ticket, clubs need find a balance between their financial needs and what's happening in real world, I've not been overly effected as saved money on ST and losing weight so eaten less plus worked all Way through pandemic, not like that for many.
Grounds would be empty in Germany at those prices. The joke is that German prices are still regarded as expensive by fans over here, yet the cheapest season ticket at Bayern and BVB is about 150 euros.
