Was at the Inter Napoli game. Thought Inter were alright in the first half but after the pen and red they were completely useless in the second. Napoli completely controlled the tempo in the second half unsurprisingly and missed a sitter too so it could have been more. Milan fans at the end of the game were really supportive of the team which surprised me. Here it'd be boos all round for a 3-0 loss but there they showed lots of respect. Was nice to see. All in all a brilliant experience. Only cost 25 Euros which is the same price to go and see Plymouth Argyle which is just laughable.
Here's was my view from the Stadium. Seems like I was miles out but could see crystal clear (apart from those posts haha) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-sVz_SrRZ8
Looks good man, out of interest did you just buy tickets on the day of the game? I am in Milan in a couple of weeks, the same day Inter play Chievo at home, guessing you can just buy tickets on the door, 24 euros sounds excellent.
Yeah I did. It was un organised and chaotic. We were there a couple hours before KO and there was a crowd of people queuing to get tickets, which took over an hour to get through. Why you ask? Because they I.D'd every single person and had their names printed on the tickets. Even the locals were all trying to figure out what was going on and whether it was possible to get tickets but there were loads. That was one of the bigger games I'd imagine and it was 65k of the 80ish thousands seats. Very easy to get in if you had tickets in advanced or got them well before kickoff (which is what we thought we did until we got there) Oh yeah I forgot to mention, once you get in you'd be lucky if you saw a steward. I kid you not, you'd scan across the entire stadium and be lucky if you saw two or three within about 20,000 seats. Mental compared to what you see here. And it's very hard to see where the hell your seats are, but with the lower attendances you just sit wherever you want.
Todays results from Serie A: Cesena 0 - 0 Fiorentina Atalanta 0 - 0 Udinese Cagliari 0 - 0 Siena Chievo 0 - 0 Juventus Genoa 0 - 0 Lecce Novara 0 - 2 Bologna 'kinnell.....
Yeah I heard about this. What is going on in Italian football ?! Be interesting to see the attendance stats for those games too.
Saturdays results had far more goals; Catania 2-1 Inter Milan 3-0 Palermo Napoli 1-2 Parma and the Sunday night game ended Lazio 2-1 Roma I've never seen that few goals in the afternoon games in Italy ever before.
Everybody talks about improving football in an offensive way here in italy and then they do the opposite
Anyone watching Lecce-Milan? Lecce were up 3-0 at half-time, Allegri brings on Boateng and he scores a hat-trick within 17 minutes while going close with a couple of other efforts. Now that's what you call a supersub!
I of course watched the game, unbelieveable it really was. Due to injuries we had to play both Van Bommel and Ambrosini in the same midfield. Van Bommel has played nearly every game and is knackered and Ambrosini needs to retire. Boateng and Aquilani only started on the bench as they had injuries. The first half was one of the worst performances I have ever seen although it was never a penalty for Lecce as there player was diving before Abbiati made contact. At the start of the second half Prince came on for Robinho and Aquilani for Ambrosini and Prince was brilliant. 3 excellent goals and Yepes hitting a bullet header to win the game late on. A great match. Forza Milan!!!!
Ha. I had missed the first couple of goals but watching the game again you're definitely right Boban, that was a blatant dive by Corvia.
